Hellsing, Vol. 2

I want to say that this purchase was hilarious. And I can! I bought volume 2 from amazingsalebooks. Being a very enthusiastic Hellsing fan, I couldn't wait for it to arrive. When it did, I paid little attention to which book it was, rather I was much more focused on putting it in its rightful spot on my bookshelf.It was when I came back to amazon to order some books for my mother's birthday, that I realized something was wrong. In my orders, it listed me as having bought number 2. When I checked the shipping slip inside the package, it also said Hellsing Volume 2.The book itself was volume 6.SO. Amazingsalebooks, while you DID screw up, you also gave me one of the books I needed to complete my collection. Faster and cheaper than what amazon was offering. Thanks! It gave me a good laugh and ended up making my day.On the subject of the volume I did recieve, it was in very good condition. All that was wrong with it was some wear on the top and bottom edges of the spine.

I had actually forgotten I had ordered this, so imagine my surprise when the package is thrown at me by my own mother. Let me tell you, she will never learn that she can't throw, and I learned to never allow her near one of my orders least she aim and miss and bonk me on the head again.But I digress, I was completely blindsided when I saw it was this wonderful book right here in its perfect condition and amazing storyline. I was absolutely happy to see Alucard be his basically sassy self with poor Seras following behind and Sir Integra being exasperated or just plain bad ass. Walter, well it's Walter. He's a calm mystery no one can figure out.

Fantastic manga and the book only had one minor tear in the cover.

It doesn't take long for this manga to fully derail from the anime I watched years ago. Thank goodness. The manga, by the way, came first. Regardless, I've heard that this story arc is much more enjoyable than the animated version and I'm here for all of the Alucard snark and badassery. Kohta Hirano does not disappoint and leaves us wanting more as we come to learn Alucard's full capabilities, and even some more of Walter, the butler, and Seras, the "police girl."When HQ for Hellsing gets attacked by two cocky brothers, this trio and a small helping hand from Integra herself, gives us some more glimpses into character depth and ability. As we move through the storyline, we get the distinct proof that someone, somewhere is pulling the strings of creating and arming ghouls, fashioning vampires to cause havoc, and that it is overlapping into the world of the normal humans and into Iscariot, the Catholic version (a bit more heretical than the Protestant version) of Hellsing (no relation other than that) in Ireland.I'm hooked. Plain and simple. And since it's been a long minute since I've read any mangas, this is certainly giving me the feel good fuzzies I've missed from these unique and fun ways of telling stories through the comic form.

I couldn't find this product in stores, I searched everywhere. I'm a big Hellsing fan and I'm just starting to collect the manga. I decided to try and find it here on amazon.com and bingo there it was. The condition was excellent, the price was great, and the delivery was fast, what more can I say? Just that I'll be searching for more products from here again.

I enjoyed it

This second volume of the brilliant and bloody Hellsing manga sees the first indications of the underlying story of the series as the vampirc Valentine brothers attack the Hellsing headquarters with an army of ghouls.This volume definitely improves on the first with some really nice action as the Valentines attack Hellsing directly. This volume also gives a brief indication on just how powerful Alucard really is and how powerful Seras could become. We also learn some information on just who is behind the resent upsurge in vampire attacks. It is still early days for Hellsing but it is quickly becoming a must read for me.

Bought for a christmas gift, very quick delivery as described. Good price compared to other suppliers. Sure the reader will be glued to it
