We are really enjoying the set. The knife is plenty sharp enough and looks beautiful. It helps that the top of the knife is blunt enough for any child to place their palm and lean their body weight on to cut harder fruits and vegetables. The peeler came wrongly installed and my husband was able to re-insert it the proper way. A clear recommend.

I wanted my son to learn how to use a knife so I Got this set. Honestly I was expecting a kids knife with a full blade. But it is a real knife with a real sharp edge and a rounded tip. A real chef knife. The finger guard makes it perfect so little fingers are safe. We haven't tried the peeler yet but it looks good and sharp as well. The little circles make the knife and the peeler safe and the grip instictive, again no wandering little fingers in the way. This is the real deal but made safe for kids. It is of great quality too, normal for an opinel. This is a great purchase and can't wait to see him better his skills.
