Good product. HOWEVER - when you watch the video, IGNORE the part about not using the pusher handle that they give you, even if your fruit or veggie is pretty thick.First time I used it on nice thick apples - no pusher handle - not a good idea. Trip to Urgent Care. Two hours and two stitches later, I finished slicing my apples - with the pusher handle. Won't make that mistake again.

I was so hopeful that this would end up being a decent product. Unfortunately, from the moment it arrived, my my optimism quickly took a nosedive. They mailed the product in its original box, no padding, no exterior Amazon box, just the product box, and it was obviously mistreated along the way. Fortunately nothing inside was broken, so my optimism remained relatively high at that point. I took out all the parts and examined them. I was very disappointed to see the lousy craftsmanship as far as how the blades were put in and how the plastic was molded in those areas. There are these big glaring holes along the plastic edge where the blades are secured on the main piece and they are very rough and unfinished. Where the guides lock into place was also very poorly done. Otherwise I thought the structure of it with its folding stand was actually quite good. I decided that aesthetics aside, we should let the vegetables be the judge. I washed everything off before first use and made sure I watch the video that they suggest you watch in lieu of instructions. It all seemed fairly straightforward so I peeled some sweet potatoes to make sweet potato fries. But when I got out the large Julian blade insert I noticed that it was dull as a spoon. Same with the small Julian insert. There was no sharpness to it at all! I went ahead and tried a few swipes with my peeled sweet potato, and as expected, it was crap. I decided to go ahead and try it just on the thickest slicing setting to see how that did. This thing couldn't do a straight, smooth slice if its life depended on it. I have pictures, but for some reason I cannot post them yet. The blades are not nearly sharp enough and they are not correctly positioned at the bottom of the v shape to actually give you a level, uniform slice. Please save your money and find a different mandolin!

THIS IS OUR SECOND ONE. THE FIRST ONE WAS ALWAYS CLEANED IN THE DISHWASHER AND AFTER SVERAL YEARS IT CRACKED. MY HUSBAND CLEANS THIS ONE BY HAND. IT ONLY TAKES A COUPLE OF MINUTES TO CLEAN BY HAND!

Read instructions and be careful. You could cut yourself if not.

I have an irrational fear of cutting myself while chopping my veggies. I also really hate prep work for meals. This mandolin slicer is PERFECT for someone like me. It's so simple and fast and with the protective cup I have zero fear of hurting myself. Prep work has become a breeze! And as a plus, it's so simple to clean and put away. Great product!

Had a small issue with my fist slicer with a tiny piece being broken from one of the pieces when it fist came (it was very minor and really did not effect being able to use the slicer)customer service emailed to ask how I liked my product, I explained the small issue they immediately sent out a replacement piece! Love my slicer! It came quickly,Worked great! Saves a lot of time!

Pretty good. Not as solid as I'd hoped, but it does seem to be solid enough. Certainly is sharp.

I haven't had this product very long, so I'm not sure how it will hold up in the long run. Right now, it's great! The blade is very sharp! I'm glad they have the insert for storage, because it can be dangerous if you aren't careful. The only thing I didn't like is that the julienne inserts are more like shredding. They would be great for hash browns or shoe string fries, but not typical fries.

It makes work easy and white colour stained very soon and could not be washed too
