It’s a Penn man!
I am a firm believer in penn rods! Caught a striper and a carp on it just the other day I can’t wait to take it to the beach! Great for getting a long cast out to the channel on a lake from the bank or a dock!

Average.
Brought this for surf fishing on aBaja road trip. The tip broke about a foot down after repeated casting of heavier lures (1 - 1.5ozs) after about a month. Probably on me, but it seemed like it should of lasted longer. Action was okay-caught a nice 31” Jack off the beach that was a hoot and I’d say medium action- it’s a decent rod at a decent price.

Great Rod for anything from 5-50lbs
The weight of the Rod is on point. Great for casting & handling just about anything fish you encounter in fresh water. Blanks could be better but their not terrible. Will purchase again

Snapped on first cast
Bought this for surf fishing and setting bait off the beach. I bought this to go use along side my 10ft Daiwa rod that I usually use. I put a three ounce sinker on and a 1ounce piece of bait - and as I casted it, the rod snapped in half below where the 2 pieces connect. The other broken piece flew into the water. What is the point in having a 10ft rod if it can’t actually cast the amount of weight it’s rated for?? This rod is a Waste of money. There are other rods you can get for this price that will at least last more than a single cast... If you actually plan on fishing, don’t buy this rod.

10ft Medium Action
I am definitely a fan of this rod. I purchased this in conjunction with a Okuma Rockaway for surf fishing in South Carolina. The rod didn’t have the sensitivity I wanted for whiting and pompano fishing so it became my redfish/shark rod. It pulled in a few slot red with no problem but then came the real test. I used it as my shark fishing set up, targetting 3-6’ sharks. It performed flawlessly with the first black tip I hooked into which came in at around 3 1/2’. Later that afternoon I hooked into a very nice 6’ finetooth. Only 7 or 8 minutes into the fight I heard what sounded like a stress fracture at the conjunction of the two portions. As the fight progressed and I had the shark in the shallows it broke right in that conjunction, the shark was still landed!. Penn was great with the warranty, they provided a new rod to me within a week. Overall I think it’s a great purchase and if you’re looking at a good target species for this rod for surf fishing it would definitely be geared towards the medium-large size game fish (redfish, snook, tarpon,) versus the smaller, (whiting, pompano, croaker) .

Exelente producto...
