This card extender works great. This is the type that you push to click into place, then push again until it clicks to extract. I picked this extender due to the mounting holes.

didn't work.... second one of these that I bought from two different vendors. Tried with 3 separate known SD cards. On plug in, none were detected. Its a good idea, nd I'd like to have one, but both of these vendors have let me down. Better quality of packaging is required.

Doesn't quite work with my MacBook Pro 15" Retina from October 2013. Plugged it in and it worked once. Doesn't work again until I reboot. I tried different SD cards from different manufacturers. Seller of this product was great. They refunded my $$$$ immediately once they heard of my issue.

Thought it would be longer, works ok, but not a well as we hoped. Purched for my father (90 years young) who had a hard time finding the SD card slot on his tower, figured this would do the trick. Not really long enough to reach even the top of the tower. Every time we eject the SD card from the computer it ejects the extension cable. He has to reach down and unplug and replug in the cable. At least he doesn't have to find the slot he can unplug and replug by feel.

I bought this so I could easily change the sd card on my da vinci 1.0 3d printer without modifying the case, it has worked without fail for two years

This is the most riduculous item on Amazon. Doesn't work at all.

Perfect item for my wanhao duplicator plus printer to move card to the front where I can see it in instead of the side.
