Really nice flavors and possibilities
Nice wood, which gives nice flavor. One note of caution is the screws and recessed bolt shown in the pics. The metal on the screws seems to strip pretty easily, so using the proper sized Phillips head is important. These are from steel rod reinforcements put through the board for when it cracks over time from the expansion and contraction during cooking. They point out that you havep to tighten these screws less and less over time. I just hope that the screw threads last till that time. Otherwise seems like a good product for the price. So, after seasoning the top with olive oil overnight, I then let it sit in water for an hour to help the Smokey flavor develop during cooking. After soaking, I seasoned the top again. The oven was preheated to 350 deg. and the board put in for 15 minutes to get hot. I took a handful of mixed olives, a few garlic cloves, some basil, parsley, olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper and made a paste with an immersion blender. I then mixed in some panko breadcrumbs for texture. I placed the mixture on top of two pompano filets and baked for 30 minutes. The results were astounding! If a picture is worth a thousand words, a taste is worth a thousand pictures. The flavors of the toppings were enhanced by the piney flavors imparted by the wood. I was going to leave 4 stars because of the screws, but the results made me give 5. My fears of the screws stripping are likely to be unfounded. For now, I will be figuring out ways to use this plank to continue to produce culinary delights.

Instructions on how to use your board thru my trial and error.
I have tried my two boards two ways..one just oiling on the top of the plank and the other soaking it for 1-2 hours. The pre soaking filled the house with wonderful Cedar smell when cooking. Although instructions say to not heat over 365 degrees, I have gone as high as 400 degrees. Plan on twice the time the fish recipe calls for as it sits on a moist wood and wood does not conduct heat as well as metal cookware. Yes..you need to preheat 350 degrees for 15 minutes before using. I also use Kosher salt sprinkled on the wood before I put my fish on because it increases the cedar smell. I have enjoyed using these cedar planks once I figured out the more complete instructions. This company is very responsive to questions and friendly to work with. Bon Appetite!

Great Addition to Our Kitchen
We just received this plank and have used it only once so far: to roast a beautiful piece of salmon and some fat juicy asparagus. The plank performed beautifully, just as we hoped. The salmon was tender and moist and the asparagus also was firm but tender and retained its juice. The subtle flavor imparted by the plank added to our enjoyment of the food. Excellent meal, and we hope to have many more. The plank is easy to season, easy to use, easy to clean and stores in a cabinet.

Not as aromatic as the thinner one-use boards
I appreciated this board because it is thick and reusable with minimal maintenance; however, soaking and pre-heating times require much more planning ahead. Nevertheless, I am disappointed that this board does not render the aroma of cedar into the salmon when served. I am not sure I will keep this board - the intended results are just not achievable.

Perfect for fish
We've used this several times and only had it two weeks. Does very well in the oven, it's perfect for fish especially when it's winter weather and you don't want to grill outdoors. It's not 'cedar fragrant' though. My frien has a different brand and it smells wonderfully cedarish when it's in her oven.

good quality, adds excellent flavor to whatever you cook ...
Just as advertised, good quality, adds excellent flavor to whatever you cook on it. Doesn't come with a wrench to tighten the bolts, which is a bit inconvenient - you basically have to hold the nut with your finger while using a screwdriver on the other end, it can be a bit painful on your fingertip. But that's a minor drawback to an otherwise good product.

Great Flavor-Easy To Use
This was our first time using a plank for cooking. The outcome was amazing. It tasted soooooooo good.I think this is going to be best used in a reverse searing situation. Bake on plank, then sear in hot pan for finishing and. nice crust. Overall, I am really happy with it.

Nice quality. Cooked Salmon 4 times and comes out perfect. Perfect size, last one I had was oval in the cutout and this one is no, so I can fit more Salmon on each time. Better price than the last one too..
