Bought it for my father. I found a few problems, though most are my responsibility. I guess my father has a non-standard door height, so I ended up having to rig a few more inches of bug netting to the bottom of the doors. Also, I learned that he only uses one side of his french door setup, so I ended up installing the screen off-set so the opening would be off to the side. This left the screen somewhat awkwardly installed on the side of his house several inches off the door frame on one side.However, those considerations are all unique to my circumstances, and things I hadn't considered ahead of time. My recommendations: (1) Know your door's dimensions before ordering - I didn't. (2) consider how you use your french door - if you keep both open and walk through this middle, this is your screen. If you tend to only open one side, then finding a screen with an off-set opening might be a better match for you.Putting aside those issues, the screen itself has been just fine.

This is the best magnetic screen door that I have purchased! I have French doors opening onto my deck from the dining room and have purchased other mesh screen doors in the past only to have them rip....why? Don't know but we are in and out a lot but the quality of the screen material was obviously inferior to this one. It is reinforced logitudinally across the whole screen fabric. This was easy to hang and the magnet closure is intact along the whole center an seals completely but easily opens for each of us including my five little dogs! I am so pleased I intend to purchase another one for my French doors opening up to my lower deck also. Finally a screen to keep those pesty flys and stink bugs out if my house while allowing the nice aromas and breezes to brighten up our home. I highly recommend this product!!

I have some french doors in my sewing room that I like to open when the weather is nice. The problem is the bugs coming in. So I was looking for a solution and one that would not cost a lot to install. I found this screen and decided to give it a try. I received my screen a few days ago. Shipping was very quick. It was packaged very well. The directions on installing the screen were easy to read and straightforward. The screen came with one side of the Velcro already in place which was really nice. This made sure everything was as straight as possible. After laying the screen our on the floor and place the other side of the Velcro ( which has sticky tape on the outside) to the screen I was ready to install. Starting at the top of the door frame and lining it up straight, it was very easy to apply. Just peel the paper off the sticky side of the Velcro as you go and line it up with the frame. The Velcro seems to be industrial grade and strong. The magnets in the screen to hold the two side together are very strong and go back together easily. Sometimes I have to give it a little jiggle to go back together at the bottom. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought one of these for a set of outward-opening French doors for which there really is no "hard" screen door available. (You can get screen doors for INWARD opening French doors, but if your doors open OUTWARD, you're out of luck.) Unlike most "instant" screen doors, these screens attach all the way around all three edges, instead of just being attached across the top and tacked or velcro'd down at a few spots down the side; and the magnetic seal in the middle is essentially continuous from top to bottom, instead of just having half a dozen pairs of magnets scattered along the seam (or for some brands, only two). It also has a weighted bottom edge to hold the bottom down, a feature I have not seen on any of the well-known competing brands.As if this wasn't enough, the screen comes with a one-year warranty, which the company will automatically extend to lifetime if you leave a review. And yet, with all these advantages, the Fly Proof screen is still cheaper than the same size of the inferior screens from the major competing brands.The attachment method supplied is sticky-back Velcro tape which, as mentioned earlier, goes around all three sides, plus a packet of (METAL, not plastic) tacks to more permanently secure it in place once you have it aligned to your satisfaction. I did not actually use this method. What I ended up doing was to take the interior trim off the door frame, fold all three edges inward along the velcro-backed edging to get exactly the right width, tack it in place with push-pins until I had it adjusted exactly right, then staple it down to the door frame about every four inches all the way around the top and sides with an upholstery staple gun and remount the door trim on top of it. This is much more secure and much more finished-looking than attaching it to the trim using the Velcro and tacks, but most people probably won't want to go to this much trouble.

I purchased this for my sliding patio door. I have a sliding screen door on it but the flies kept coming in when you open it. So I purchased this to put on over it so I can leave it open without worrying about flying bugs coming in the house.First it was soo easy to install over the sliding door frame that my 14yr old daughter was able to install it for me.Second, it served it's purpose. The flies weren't able to get in since. And we use the patio door alot with our 2 dogs.Third, the dogs took to it right away. They were able to go in and out when they wanted. It gave them unlimited access in and out of the house since we don't have a doggy for for them.I was not paid for this review and I paid full price for my purchase. I am happy with my purchase.

Works as advertised and the magnets keep the mesh closed. BUT, the whole thing is about 1/2" too small each side to be installed per the installation instructions. My doors are the standard 72" x 84" and I ended up installing a piece of flashing around the door frame to make a smaller opening to attach the curtain.
