I have an 11 year old female shiapoo that has bad hips for about 8 months. She was no longer able to jump up on the beds. This stuff must have a delicious taste or smells (to dogs) because mine didn't even have to be tricked into eating it. He'd lick up the powder if I gave it to him loose. I usually just sprinkle it on his food. It seems to be easing his joints a bit.
