This looked like so much fun that I had to buy it. So glad I did! Easy peasy to use! Tablespoon of seeds, fill with cool water, let a day go by, drain. Then rinse and drain 2 or 3 times a day until the jar is chock full of yummy crunchy tasty little sprouts. If you miss a rinse, no big deal. It's such a forgiving project, and edible too! The ceramic tray beneath is top quality, and I can fit this unit pretty much anywhere. The sprouts I used were ready in 3 days. Talk about a fast turnover! Wow! And the variations of seeds to sprout are endless! We sprinkle them on top of our tacos instead of lettuce. Great with our nachos, or on a salad, or plain with lots of yummy flavored olive oil dribbled over the top! If I have too many, the chickens get a treat! Really a nice addition to our meals. I would highly recommend giving these a go as the fresh crunch of your own homemade sprouts is a hundred times tastier than the nasty goopy sprouts you buy in the store. Plus you can get organic seeds, make your own mixed versions, and control how many you make. Lots to like about this unit. Buy it!

I like this product since the tray is very heavy and attractive white ceramic. This ceramic tray provides stability for the rack and the mason jars. The wire screens work well to keep the seeds in (I am sprouting broccoli seeds and they are very small). It is easy to use and produces wonderful sprouts that are much better tasting than those we purchased in the grocery store. I think they must be better since they are much fresher - you can eat them as soon as they are ready. It takes 3-4 days for the broccoli sprouts to grow big enough to eat so you can start another jar if you want a continual supply. I highly recommend this product if you want to grow sprouts.

Great product! Super easy to use and pretty enough to have on my kitchen counter. I am saving a lot of money by growing my own sprouts at home. They are expensive at the store and they are often moldy.

This is a great way to get started with sprouts for salads or meals. My only issue was that the provided lid rings kept popping off if I even touched them, so I replaced them with some brand name rings I had on hand and that solved the problem. If I hadn't swapped them out, I would have dropped the jar or my sprouts during one of the rinses. Other than that, it was worthwhile.

These jars are great. Not sure why people are saying the lids fall off. Clearly they aren't actually twisting the lids. My lids stay on nice and tight and I don't have any issues opening or closing. Sprouting is super easy and I have been enjoying mung bean sprouts in my fried rice. The drip tray is nice and heavy, so it doesn't get moved around easily. I am very happy with the setup and I will continue using it in my sprouting adventures.

I was so excited to find this item and bought it right away to give it a try as I knew several people who would love it for Christmas, plus what a great idea for that “bring a small gift “ exchange party. HOWEVER, I used one jar for my first use, it went okay, the lid was fiddley but manageable, not a deal breaker. Then, close to thanksgiving I wanted 2 types of sprouts for post holiday sandwiches. The second lid doesn’t secure on properly at all and after swapping them around now I can’t get a good fit on either. My sister who had seen it and ordered for a friend will check hers immediately upon arrival and return it if the lids give any hint of being faulty. If it’s functional it’s fantastic for the money, although I feel they should send two screw caps for each jar(and perhaps two screens) for the money. I want to love and keep it but so far I cannot figure out how to just get new lids, I am certainly not paying more. It’s such a conundrum. Be aware before you buy, while this might just be a fluke, I find it quite odd both lids fit so poorly. I will see once the set my sister ordered arrives. Disappointed is an understatement.

In a word - quality. The tray and jars are heavy and well made. Even the way it is packaged for mailing is outstanding. It has a very good design and even looks good on the kitchen cabinet. It is really convenient to have everything you need (seeds are not included) all in a compact kit. This makes sprouting so easy and it works so well. Our first attempt produced great results.

The sprouting kit has just arrived and I am impressed. Everything about it speaks of quality and the product was very securely packaged to prevent breakage. The jars are slightly smaller than I had anticipated, but I think regular cycling of the two jars will ensure I have enough sprouts. Recommended.

I loved the packaging. As the first impression it made me feel my money was not wasted. I love the quality of the entire set. I have tried it for lentils, mung beans, and wheat . The first two turned out great so I kept some of them in the fridge to eat with lemon and salt or add to my salads. wheat went bad and smell awful but I feel it had nothing to do with the jar so I am going to try it one more time. What I like about the jar and its tray is that they are so easy to wash. The tray is made of good quality so it doesn't stain. All you need to know is that don't add too much seeds cause when they germinate they need some more space. Thank you for making my life easier and healthy.
