Dhorcas (#03) 1/2" Threaded Long Shaft Motor with Black 6" Hands, Quartz Clock Movement Kit for Replacement

I had to acquaint myself with the various sizes of movements and their threaded shafts, as well as figure out the right size hands that I needed, all of which you need to know before you order this type of kit. This resulted in purchasing a $7 movement from another source that I had to toss. Second time out I got the measurements right with this unit and it fit my clock perfectly. Still saved me a lot of money over replacing the whole clock. You have to be very careful putting the hands on. They are a press fit over their shafts and you could easily bend them and make them unusable. Just go slow and gently and be careful where you press to attach them to the shaft. I placed my fingers on either side of the hole in each hand and pressed from there. The directions are very clear - read them. I was able to rescue my wife's favorite clock and save probably $40-80 over replacing it, so it worked out. The movement is very accurate.

Great clock mechanism very quiet almost silent. The second hand rolls smoothly doesn't tick. I also like the hand shapes, shipped in a perfectly sized box and arrived quickly. Spent almost twice this much recently for a similar mechanism. I only wish this one came with a wall hanger, not a major issue for me but would have been nice. Will likely purchase again!

This is a great replacement for the clock movement that I had previously purchased for my favorite clock, although the hands are quite long and not as pretty as the others! Works very well, smooth movement, very little sound unless you're standing right next to it in a peacefully quiet room.

This unit has been running accurately. Hands were not as long as I wanted, but the longest I found. Clock is back on time!
