Reconnected Live

Imagine finally getting to see one of your favorite groups live for the first time and having them sound AMAZING. That's how I felt when I got to see Yaz (Yazoo) live in 2008. Then, even though it took two years for its release, the CD comes out and it, too, is a treat for the ears. Every song is clear and the balance between the vocals and music are perfect. I put this CD on (loud) whenever I need to be put into a good mood (like right before I dive into some major housework) or when I feel like reconnecting with one of the greatest duos of the 1980s - still sounding fantastic twenty-five years later.I recommend "Reconnected" to anyone who loves Yazoo.

Wow Allison and Vince sound so amazing live....this live album is one of the best I have ever heard. To hear all my favorite YAZ songs after all these years is so exciting. Allison's voice sounds older and more full...which gives the sounds a more brooding, melancholy, sound which I LOVE. Don't miss this album if you are a YAZ fan. The only gripe I have is that the 2 disc set could have easily fit on 1 disc....but what they hey just a small gripe for such a good album.

This is a wonderful double cd. The excitement of the Yaz Reconnected tour is captured here. Alison Moyet's voice is as powerful, clear and fresh as it was in the early 80s. Hearing the crowd go wild (which doesn't interfere with the performances) is goose-bump-inducing.

I am not generally a fan of live recordings as I would rather experience it in person.However, this recording is truly unique as it captures a one-off opportunity to hear Alison and Vince interpret studio recordings never before performed live, mostly from their second recording - State Farm- along with classics from Upstairs At Eric's.Both performers are in rare form here, producing grooves and emoting with energy and expertise that musicians half their age wish they could summon.

Let me start by saying I love Yaz and Alison Moyet. The Yaz albums are on my short list of all time favorites. I was fortunate enough to see this concert in California at the Pacific Amphatheater...and will remember it as perhaps my favorite concert of all time - because I loved the music AND thought there was a 0% chance that I'd ever get to see it live. They were so "on" for this concert is was amazing.I really would have loved to give this Five Stars...but frankly, the quality of the recording is less than state-of-the-art. I'm not saying it's "bad", but it's not "great". The performance is great and depending on what type of system you listen to this on, you may find the recording great. But, played back on a high quality system and listened to critically, it leaves you wishing for a bit more.That being said, I'm thrilled to be able to buy a new Yaz album and would highly recommend that you buy it too!

If you are a true fan of Yazoo you need to buy this. The live versions don't add much to the songs. I was amazed that Alison still sounds this good.

I am new to listening to Yaz...This is a Great Album!It has been in my CD player all weekend...can't get enough

This is an amazing Live performance by the Great Ones getting together for the first time since the early 80's. I cant recommend it enough

first of all let me just say that it is about frickin' time amazon.ca got this cd released. it has been available everywhere else for weeks. oh well all i can say is that it is well worth the wait. not only waiting for amazon to release it here in canada but the long wait between tour and live cd release. i remember seeing yazOO in new york the summer of 2008 and being blown away by the sound and performance of alison and vince. never thought it would happen but it did!!!!!the sound quality found on these cds are amazing, alison moyet's voice is incredible. just as i recalled it from the actual live show. the sound literally jumps out of my car speakers. i think i may blow one or two before i'm done with these discs. this release brings new life to these old, classic songs!!!!

2008年のリマスターアルバム「In Your Room」の発売に合わせて、1年限定の再結成、そして20数年ぶりのライブ・・・。その2008年の欧米で行われたライブがやっとCD化へ。１枚目のディスクをかけた瞬間、アリソン・モイエの歌う「Nobody's Diary」が・・、思わず涙が・・。一瞬80年代初頭にタイムスリップです。年をとってしまった８０ｓのバンドの多くが再結成のライブを行う中、これほど新鮮で変わらぬ感動を与えてくれるライブアルバムがあったのでしょうか。是非ご自分で体感してください。これは本当に涙ものです。今回のアルバムには、ライブ中に撮られた32Pの写真集（白黒）が収録されていて、少しだけ年をとった２人に逢うことが出来ます。

活動中に彼らのファンになって20数年、ようやくライブが聴けた。欲を言えば映像も見たい、DVD出ないんですかねぇ。
