It Works and the Price Can't Be Beat
I was drawn to the low price, but was pleased to open up what appears to be a well made part. I followed the instructions on a YouTube video, posted by another parts company, to replace this on my (non-starting) Toro snowblower and the job went pretty easily. The carb has worked flawlessly for the first several hours of service; I'll update this later if I encounter any issues, but if this carb was bad in any way, it would have already failed I think. Recommended item.

Highly satisfied.
Exact fit and started quickly. Would spend the extra $15 and buy the carburetor over rebuild kit any day. Suggest replacement fuel line and clamp to minimize any leaks from using old line from filter to carburetor. Highly satisfied.

Started leaking gasoline.
Carburetor worked great for about a hour. After hour the snow thrower started stalling and carburetor started leaking gasoline. Even when it was off it leaked gasoline. The whole garage smells like gasoline now.

I watched YouTube and found an excellent video to properly install it
I ordered this carburetor for my in law for his Toro snowblower. I watched YouTube and found an excellent video to properly install it. Once it went on, the snow blower started on the fisrt try and no problems at all. The repair shop wanted $75.00 dollars to check it and $150.00 to fix it. I only spent $29.00 and three hours of my free time learning how to fix it myself. The best thing was feeling useful: priceless. Highly recommended.

This fit great on my snow blower
This fit great on my snow blower. The parts seem a little more durable than the OEM. We will see how long this one lasts.

But this for your toro, don’t waste time fixing your carb
Tried to clean my carb, ended up needing a rebuild kit. Instead, it was less expensive and time consuming to have this delivered. 15 minutes to install. First one lasted 9 years. I have to worry about a 15 minute replacement job every nine years? I can live with that.Came with all the parts you need to replace the old carb. Great value!

Great replacement for small price
I bought it before troubleshooting the starting problem. It was so inexpensive (compared to others) that I couldn't resist. Turns out that my starting issue was due to bad gas. I took the original carb off and clean it up with compressed air and carb cleaner, and after some fresh gas the snow blower started right up on the first pull (love Toro). So, I did not use this replacement carb. It isn't OEM but looks identical for a fraction of the price. If I ever need to rebuild the original carb I'll just throw this replacement in instead. Learned my lesson - follow the directions for stowing your seasonal gas powered tool.

This is NOT the correct carb for a Toro Power Clear 418ZE snowblower - but it runs.
This carb doesn't work properly with the priming button. Either that, or there's something wrong with the carb that I got. The problem with the priming is that when I press the priming button, fuel is forced out of a port on the bottom of the fuel bowl and it leaks right onto the ground. The fuel does NOT go into the throttle body. Note that the carb does not leak in normal operation, only when I press the priming button. The snowblower started immediately though and it seemed to run perfectly fine, but I will not be able to prime it using this carb. If, after sitting for a week or two on a cold wintery day, it starts with the choke closed without priming, then I won't have a problem, but if it refuses to start and needs priming fuel, I may have to resort to starter fluid or something. Also, the steel priming line is too close to the body of the carb and interferes with the internal plastic partition between the part of the plastic housing that holds the priming button and the part where the carb sits. I had to cut the plastic partition out so that the priming line would clear it. The steel priming line on the original carb came straight out about 1" before the 90 upward bend, but this carb's priming line only comes out about 1/4" - 1/2", right in line with the plastic partition.I'm not going to give it a 1 star because the snowblower runs perfectly fine, but this is clearly NOT the same carb as the original that was on my Toro Power Clear 418ZE and there may be a defect that's causing the priming issue. I'm going to use it as-is because I need my snowblower to run right now, but you may want to look at the details of the priming line of any replacement carb you're looking at for the 418ZE, don't just go by what's claimed in the description like I did.
