Assembled Wooden Bat House by Ento ProductsThis Bat House comes fully assembled. It is full sized, double celled and features an upper nursery which helps to prevent babies from falling out. Depending on the species, this Bat House will hold approximately 60 bats. It is made with sanded pine and exterior grade plywood and is lined with mesh. The house measures 18 inches high x 11.75 inches wide x 3.5 inches deep. Bats live in colonies and consume up to 500 insects per hour. Success!!
It took a year for the bats to finally move in, but they are in! House is much more fun now that it contains something more interesting than spiders. Be patient...the bats will eventually warm up to it.Update: So I put this bat house on our boat house, and it took over a year for the bats to move in, but now that they have discovered it, they are loving it. For the longest time, there were only spiders living in the bat box, but now, I don't have spiders in the bat house or boat house at all. The bats are literally eating the competition. I wish I would have considered the placement of the bat house a little more carefully since the amount of guano produced daily is stunning and it makes a mess of the dock.

waiting for bats
It's up and just waiting for bats. Better to do some research on bat houses first. It did come with some helpful literature.

Great bat house.
Quality made. Durable matierials. We don't have bats in ours yet but it's ready to roll! Our son had a blast painting it too.
