The Republic of Tea — HiCAF Toasted Coconut Black Tea, 50 Tea Bags, High in Caffeine

This is the second flavor of this high caffeine tea that I have tried. The coconut flavor is a bit on the strong side, but taste really good, especially with some half-and-half added to the cup. I did have some issues in the first flavor I purchased with some teabags, either not being completely filled or not sealed properly; however, with this flavor, all the bags have the same amount of tea, and I have not found any that are not properly sealed.

This stuff is awesome! They are round bags and fit perfectly in your cup. It comes in a very attractive and presentable tin as well. You can definitely taste the coconut and it's extremely tasty. I can't wait to try the caramel and cinnamon toast. I will purchase when I get low on these. It's better than celestial energy tea and other caffeinated teas. This stuff rocks!

I had been drinking the "breakfast black" flavor of the hi caf teas for a month or two. That one is 110 mg of caffeine. But I did get kinda bored of that flavor so I decided to mix it up and get coconut. Well I didn't realize until drinking it for a few days that my better mood and higher energy weren't just magically happening; it was because this flavor has 30 more mg than the breakfast flavor! Coconut has a whole 140 mg. I had no idea. I drank it in the morning one day and cleaned for like five hours straight. I might as well have taken Adderall or something. I was unstoppable. Anyways, just fair warning that this flavor is extra high caffeine content. As for the taste, it's exactly as you'd expect a black tea with coconut to taste. Loving it :)

Yes - smells amazing if you like coconut Yes - it tastes great (especially with some creamer) Yes- it helps start my day with a caffeine kick when I don’t want coffee. Yes- it feels like a decent value for the number of tea bags

Pros: 1. I really enjoy the taste of this tea. I always put ACV, lemon and honey in my teas and it works well with this flavor. 2. It does give a fair caffeine kick (better than other "higher caffeine teas I've tried). 3. Comes in a cool, sturdy, air tight tin that could be used for something else when finished. 4. The buzz is not like coffee. A calmer feeling with more focus. Cons: 1. The caffeine kick wasn't quite enough to replace coffee for me. On mornings when I was extra tired, I needed to use 2 bags. None of the coffee jitters though. I have ordered more of this a few times, now as I do enjoy the flavor and calm focus it gives me. Good price for the caffeine content, too. A coworker introduced me to this tea to ween me off of energy drinks. A splash of milk and honey was all it took to get me hooked. Now I can’t start my day without it. Delicious and satisfying! Tastes good without sweeteners either. Definitely a better alternative than energy drinks.

I was hesitant to try this new tea at first. First, it's noticeably more expensive than other RoT flavors at $13.99 retail direct from them. However, it does at least have 50 bags instead of 36. Second, I was afraid the extra caffeine would throw off the flavor. Luckily, RoT sent me a sample with one of their recent catalogs (I highly recommend signing up for it, a sample comes with every catalog!). This is the best coconut flavored tea I have had. I have tried many brands of coconut flavored tea but for some reason this flavor is usually very weak. In the HiCaf you can really taste the flavor, despite a strong black tea base. And, I do get a distinct boost from the added caffeine. I can see why so many people "need" a cup of coffee in the morning! Plus, I found a cup of this to be helpful in relieving a headache (caffeine is what they add to many pain meds to make them headache-specific). Overall, if you don't like coffee or are trying to cut back, this tea is a nice alternative to give you a pick-me-up. I intend to try the other hi-caf flavors as well. Highly recommended.

The tea is good. Leaves a thick taste in your mouth tho. I don't add anything to the tea, but feels a bit thick in my mouth after I swallow. Idk how to explain it. The energy level is okay. But Im trying to Not drink as many energy drinks
