It works great until i turn the boat motor on. Then it cuts in and out continuously. Ideas what might be wrong** A: I’m having the exact same problem. With te engine off it works just fine but ad soon as I turn the engine on in cuts and turns off. I made a completely separate cable and connection straight from the battery and the problem persists. I have a voltage gauge and volts go from 12.6 with the engine off to 14.4 with te engine on which is just fine. I even changed the voltage rectifier in my engine but the problem persists.
