Safety Adjustable Baby Lock,Black, 6 Pack

Have had these for over a year now and they do work really well. A few complaints though. Have only tried to remove one and it did cause some damage to the cabinet. Did not try the floss method though, so will try that next time we have to remove one. We use these in two locations that are very high traffic cabinets, and with all the opening and closing every day, they tend to break off after a while. The clear plastic piece that goes between the two ends snaps at the side opposite of the latch. Have had to replace the strap piece twice on these cabinets. They are very hard to get back open, part opposite the latch, when you need to replace the strap. But other than that, these have worked great.

I LOVE these!! I purchased them in black and white. They arrived fast and work exactly as I need them to. The instructions say to measure they area you plan to apply them, and then cut the clear strip, but I decided to not cut them so that I can use them in other locations if/when needed.If fits between our dishwasher and cupboard! That single cupboard was the most problematic to baby proof, until I got these.My son pinched his fingers in one of our kitchen cupboards because our old baby safety lock allowed too big of a gap (big enough for an adult finger to fix inside and push open the lock) when he tried opening the cupboard. These fixed the problem so that there are no longer baby-finger-sized gaps!They are STRONG! I tried ripping one off (I even yanked on the drawer it is attached to) after placing it in the wrong spot and I definitely couldn't. As another reviewer suggested, I'll use dental floss to remove it.

Wish I had ordered these when I first started baby proofing last year. My 2-year-old twins figured out how to circumvent traditional cabinet and drawer locks before they were 18 months old. While I don't have anything truly hazardous anywhere even remotely accessible to the boys, I also don't want one of them to be able to empty out all of their dresser drawers or our entertainment center every time I'm preoccupied with his brother. So far, these safety locks are almost perfect. The one thing I'd change is to have the center portion also be black so the lock is less visible.

These worked well for our kitchen cabinets. We just put one end on each door, so now we don't have a baby trying to open them, and they stick very well. My only complaint is that they can be hard to open, even for adults. You need to slide the level as well as pull the tab off (and if you have only one hand, you need some more concentration). Not complicated, but can be harder to do with just one hand.

I might have given to use a better view if I hadn't already tried the munchkin ones. These are not as strong. I forget they're locked sometimes I go to open the door and they just rip right open. Also they don't swivel to get out-of-the-way which can be super annoying when they're not in use. They are cheaper but for me I wish I had gotten more of the Munchkin ones

So... my dog is a sneaky little thing. Seriously, you'd think he had thumbs with the way he takes to the challenges of all-the-things-you're-not-supposed-to-get-into. We've doggy-proofed the house in phases, as he learns how to infiltrate new cabinets and bypass gates. We have our trashcan and recycling bin underneath a free-standing shelf in the kitchen, as they're too tall to fit in a cabinet. We used to come home to littering every day, but we bought these to fasten the bins to the wall and we haven't had a single incident since then. It's also been great to make a "post" to anchor his x-pen.

These might be better for younger babies. My son is two and a half and can open these locks easily. I'm so frustrated because I installed these locks everywhere in my house with a lot hope that they could stop my son from opening the drawers/trash cans/cabinets. However, I'm left to remove all the locks now because they don't work. Hopefully they won't leave any marks on the furniture/wall.

Cats can be poisoned by onions, garlic, chocolate, etc. But my cat is also quite skilled at opening cupboards that contain these contraband items. This product is great for keeping those doors locked. With these precautions, I know I won't come home to find my cat (or future dog) poisoned by these common foods.I also use these to keep the toilet lid open for my cat, who uses the toilet. Basically, these aren't just for babies! They're fore pets too! And they work wonderfully!
