A series that may seem taboo.
This is a series I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy. It deals with things that most people are uncomfortable with. A fifth grader who "dates" a high school girl. This can be seen as creepy and taboo. However, after reading the first volume, my views changed slightly. This manga doesn't take itself too seriously and really does offer a few good laughs. It's not perverted despite the age gap. It's charming and definitely something I can see growing on me after the shock of the age gap. Akita Hiyoshimaru draws the fifth grade boy to look much older than he really is and Kaho to look much younger. It's definitely cute how the relationship dynamic plays out, especially since her "boyfriend" thinks and acts very much like the little boy he is. It's a bit unique in that aspect and should definitely be given a chance if you can get pass the age gap. This series is also being made into an anime so it is popular enough in Japan to get an adaptation. Just another thing to look forward to!

So cute and i dunno how to feel...
At first i felt a little iffy about the whole premise, well, to be honest i'm on the second volume and i'm still feeling a little weird but the whole thing is just so captivating, you don't want to look away, you just want to keep reading to see what will happen next. To be honest, i'm hoping there's a secret somewhere down the line saying that Kanade isn't actually a fifth grader or at least not that age. That would lift my guilt about feeling attracted to him, lol. The guys in this manga are gorgeous and Kaho herself is BEAUTIFUL! It does bother me how down she is on herself all the time, sometimes it gets a little long in the tooth and it's just like seriously? But ehhh...it's not that big a deal.I recommend it unless the whole age thing bothers you, which would be understandable, but just to help you out, it's the guy on the cover that's supposed to be the fifth grader. So, just mull that over.

What even is this?!
Wtf is this series XD I read book 2 and I'm both questioning why I continue reading it, but at the same time I can understand why I keep reading it. Plush find the artwork quite pleasing.

Big Question Mark
This is a sweet story with endearing characters, but a predictable plot. The mangaka certainly doesn't lack talent as an artist, but the main female lead Kaho Nikaidou is extremely annoying. She looks like a five-year-old and acts just as foolish most of the time. I realize this manga was created with a younger audience in mind, but how young are we talking. I understand Kaho has lead a sheltered and pampered life, but still most teens at the age of fifteen are not as gullible and immature as she is. Her fifth grader boyfriend has more smarts. I can't say I love this one or hate it, but I sure as hell wonder how the series will progress with a wishy-washy dull-witted lead.
