first impressions & an update
I will definitely update after actually using the stove, this review right now is for first impressions and the process of setting it up.Very easy to set up. It took me maybe 5 minutes. It feels sturdy and should do just fine in moderate wind conditions with the wind guard. I certainly wouldn't try it in a hurricane, lol.The ash pan sits inside without issue, feels like it's going nowhere until you take it apart. I like that you can use this stove in so many different ways with many different fuel sources. This stove will definitely be taken with us this year for tent camping and use outside our camper van.You can use the wind guard alone if you have a small propane or other single burner that you just want to protect from breezes. You can use this with wood and/or twigs. You can use this with charcoal. You can use this with alcohol. Yes, I'm sure this will get a lot of usage for us in camping situations.I'm not sure how it performs with normal usage yet, esp the grates, but this is one review I will make sure to come back and update after we use it a few times. Just from my first impressions, though, I will say I'm very excited to try it out.UPDATE, September 4, 2021:To be honest, I haven't used this as much as I thought I would simply because we haven't been camping nearly as much as I would like to because of 2 reasons: the unbearable heat in the northeast US this year, and I got a bum knee out of nowhere that just really took me out of commission for a month now and it's still not fixed. However, the temperatures finally went down to what is "normal" for us this time of year and I said I don't care about the knee, I'll just deal with it... I want to be out in the woods! And so here I am. Just not sure how much hiking I'll be able to do!Today was the first morning waking up here. I grab the propane stove in order to heat water for coffee. For whatever reason, it won't light. Not sure if it's operator error or there is something wrong with the stove, but it's just not lighting. So I grab my Ohuhu, set it up, and put 2 canned heat cans (just like Sterno) on the solid plate, light them both up, put my pot with water on the grate, and hope for the best.To my surprise and delight in a little while I actually had boiling water! I really was not sure if the canned heat would be hot enough to boil water, but apparently lighting 2 of them will definitely do the job. I'm sitting here right now enjoying my freshly made coffee, instead of having had to run into town to Dunkin or somewhere.Impressions: I like this little stove even more than I thought I would originally. There are just so many ways to use it and I just happened to have those cans with me so tried that way this time. The stove was definitely sturdy enough to support the big coffee pot I have, filled halfway with water, so it was a substantial amount of weight. I'm also really pleased the grate & stove are large enough that the coffee pot fits on it. Just make sure the stove is as level as you can get it and that it's not wobbly before you put anything on it, and it will perform just fine.I like how easy it is to set this up. Literally only took me about 2 minutes, maybe a little less, to remember how it all goes together. I really like that it comes in a bag so you can keep all the pieces together while it's in storage.I literally have nothing bad to say about this little guy. I have other little camping stoves that work similar to this one, but this one is my go-to, my favourite. It's just easier to put together than the others, it's bigger so enough space for a decent size pot or pan.... It's just a great little stove! I have gone ahead and changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars because I really do like it that much. I hope it has longevity, because I would like to use this for years to come.

Much better than my little folding wood stove
I love this little stove. I can’t find my small one so I bought this bigger one after seeing a review on YouTube. I’m very happy with it because of the open front and the ease of setting it up. I’ve used it with wood and charcoal combined. It’s larger top hold my cast iron pan and small Dutch oven. I think it’s the perfect size. However I still can’t figure out how to keep the smoke following me and getting in my face! Lol I highly recommend this one!

Lots of cooking area.
This versatile little grill has plenty of area to cook on and has endless ways to use it. The edges are all rounded and smooth. Packs flat and can store a few alcohol cubes. It is a little heavy, but the size makes up for it. Ideal for a pack of hot dogs or some burgers. Seems durable. I would recommend this if you're backpacking with friends and need to cook for more than just yourself.Update: I have used the heck out of this thing! It cools down pretty quickly and uses surprisingly little charcoal. I keep it in my car for impromptu picnics. I love that we can now grill anywhere- rest areas, fishing accesses, pull offs! The heat is far enough from the base that we have had no problem using it on picnic tables. Love this little grill more every time I use it.

Handy, versatile stove for camping, hunting, beach, and car emergency kit.
My initial reaction when I received this stove was — Holy C***, this is heavy. (Almost 2 pounds). Definitely not a backpacking stove, but great for situations when weight is not an issue. It sets up easily, and has a very large “cooktop” area, and there is a grid, if you wanted to grill food. I like that you can use virtually any fuel source, so you have backup options if there is no dry biofuel available. Also good when you can’t (or don’t want to) have a campfire. UPDATE: Tried this out with alcohol in the little bowl included, with a wide base camp pot. Boiled 16 ounces of water in about 4 minutes. Some smoke residue, but it cleaned up nicely. My only complaint is trying to figure out how to use the “wind screen” included.

fun but not practicle
This little stove is fun to play around with when I go camping. I dont think I would bring it for a back packing trip. It seems to be decent material even though it is thin, I would not want it to be made out of thick metal. It is light and folds up fairly small. It is fun to play around with at camp but If I was to go on a back packing trip I would bring something else. I see this as more of a novelty toy. I have used it to boil water. I originally ordered this to use as a wind shield for by alcohol stove and it does a good job at that. just more stuff to carry and I would rather carry just my small fuel burner.

Small but mighty!!
This rocket stove is small but I think it's my favorite!! I love the fact you can use a pellet fuel for quick use like for boiling water without having to gather sticks and etc. Comes with a little burning container/bowl for the pellet fuel. I had a great time with this. I will use this particular unit as a "side burner" to make a dinner while using my larger one along side of it. I made a small amount of Italian sausage on the grill to see how that would work. It has a small grilling grate but it would make a gormet meal on a camping trip. I bought this to work along side of my larger unit due to high rate of power outages in my area due to spring and summer storms. Get it! You won't regret it. It cleans up eady and fold it back up and put in it's convenient zipper bag! Recommended

Really excellent; save money and packing space on firewood
I've had this thing in my cart for a while since reading someone mention these type of stoves in a passing comment and had been waiting until camping season. Now that I've had it for two trips, I'm absolutely in love. Easy assembly and storage, very compact size, and the best part is that you can build and sustain a fire using only the twigs and fallen branches that are around your campsite. Didn't even break into the firewood I brought along on the last trip with all the cooking I was able to do with this and twigs!

Lightweight and convenient
I like the fact that it can be folded up into a bag 24cm x 17cm x 6cm with a weight of about 2.7KG. This is not a heavy duty camp stove but one for those who like to travel light when camping. This is just what I wanted

Doesn't Assemble Properly
BEWARE.Mine does not assemble correctly, the parts don't fit together right and I can't return this thing at my LOCAL Purolator depot 2 blocks down. They issue QR code to send it back instead of a label & I'm going to have to take 65 minutes of busses to a Purolator centre! Would NEVER have bought this is I'd known.
