It doesn't come with any instructions! There's a diagram on their website and that's it! The pump does not come apart easily. I did succeed though and the pump is working beautifully again.

This kit has all the seals and parts needed to refurbish an old pump, mine works like new again. The only problem was a lack of instructions. An illustrated picture showing which direction the inlet/outlet valves face would have been nice; I didn't note that when I took the pump apart. I was able to guess which way the valves faced, and it works great. The pump is a simple and easy -at least to mechanically inclined individuals- design to figure out, and thus a careful -again, mechanically inclined- person could easily do it without instructions; just remember which way the valves faced when you take them off. Also, some of the little plastic valve holders are difficult to install even with skinny long dexterous fingers. But all in all, I'm happy because my pump works like new for a little over $30 instead of the $100 something it costs to replace it.

The installation was difficult. I recommend taking photos of the existing parts placement.

Just use common sense, it's not that hard. Should take 10-15 minutes....

This kit allowed me to completely recondition my galley pump. The seals fit and were an exact duplicate of the original. Pays to buy from the manufacturer.If your pump is leaking or not performing this will fix it.

The service kit for my Whale Gusher Galley Pump MK III was precisely what I expected given that the kit was an original Whale part. All the "O" rings, valves and fixings worked properly once I had worked out what to do. The service kit should come with Instructions, expressed in simple steps, and maybe with illustrations. The pump is sophisticated, but complicated, and to service it for a first time without instructions was a little daunting. I therefore photo'd each stage of dismantling the pump in order to install the service parts in their correct place and in the right order.
