I like this placemat a lot. This is the second I've purchased. I bought the first for my daughter when she started sitting at the table when she was around 18 months. The catcher is wide and doesn't tilt much as the kids are eating so dropped food doesn't fall out of it while they are sitting (had that problem with a different mat). The reason I took off a star is related to the design. My daughter isn't as messy now, however when she first started she would get food all over the mat and it was difficult to clean up. Due to the design cut out it was too awkward to carry it to the trash or sink. I had to clean off all the food prior to washing it off in the sink. It's minor, but I found it annoying. My 3 year old son's mat (a different brand) ripped and so I purchased one of these for him too. The design is better for him because he really just needs it for the food catcher and it works well for that.

awesome from baby to young child- best baby shower/ birthday gift for a child (but you're really helping the parents for countless meals that will be thought of a lifesaver.dry foods and crumbs to liquids, doesn't stain and so handy. one of the only things purchased that lasts well beyond their baby years. Can be reused after disasters at the table and portable to any restaurant or family gathering. used for 8 years with daughter already! same one, given to other parents as gifts and they love it too.

I was very surprised when I opened this place mat to see that it did not have suction cups because I worried it wouldn't stick but it did. My only complaint thus far is the half circle cut out in the design. I wish that the whole area on the table was rubber so that I could also put food on it for my young toddler to eat off of. Not a deal breaker but if you are a parent of a baby who isn't ready for plates and you go to a restaurant you probably aren't putting food directly on those tables.

Love my Cibo. I have a son with autism that has feeding issues. Whenever he eats, and wherever he eats (worst part was the restaurants) there used to be a huge pile of food on the floor and on him. It was a total mess. When I saw a FB post by an OT recommending the Cibo i immediately bought it. It was a God sent for us. Love it so much that I'm going to buy a second one for when we go out! Excellent product for the messy eaters 😀

I can always tell where my two children have sat at the dinner table because they have left the biggest messes behind. I so wanted this product to work to catch some of the food falling in front of their plates and onto the floor. Unfortunately, these just don't work very well. They do not adhere to the table as well as I expected, and often end up on the floor. They never lay completely flat. The cut-out where the plate sits is too far away for my younger daughter to reach, and so we have to move the plate closer, but then it is sitting on a bump in the mat. They are also not easy to clean. If we have had any "sticky" food (rice, pasta, etc.), then it is easier to wait until the food has dried out before cleaning. In addition, the tray to catch food does not sit the way it does in the picture - it is more angled down towards the floor, so often food will fall and hit the lip of the tray and end up on the floor anyways.

Love this adorable food catcher mat. I bought it for my 9 year old son who constantly drop food on the floor . By the end of the week there is usually a good pile of food on the floor where he sits. His sister has been begging him to let her use it. He was a little embarrass at first to use it but when his sister asked for it he was reluctant to let her have it and wrote his name on it.. Great product and quality. Keeps the cereal and snacks off the floor.

Love this product!! We have a glass top table and wanted something that would keep food and drink from slipping under the glass. We have used this for a year and a half and it has held up great. My son loves it and it keeps tons of food from ending up on the floor. We will be ordering another for my daughter to use soon. Get one, your kids and your table will thank you.

There was an initial concern as to how well this product will stay in place but Cibo delivered! Cleaning up is such a breeze and there's no longer a need for wearing a bib. It is also extremely multi-functional as we use it for puzzles and building blocks while at the table.

Not enough surface to stick well to the table. It keeps sliding off. I might keep it for crafts, but for food this was a waste of money. I have a very nice cherry table I was hoping to protect but these are not the answer. It would be much better without the cutout.
