LED lights went out a short time after I bought the light last time!! Had to replace it!!
I had ordered this for my 93 year old mother. The one I had before had the LED lights go out so I had to order another one as she has a hard time reading even with her glasses and Lighted Lumifier magnifying glass. I don't know why these LEDS failed but I could not find the receipt. So I had to order another one. I hope this one lasts. Do you know how long the warranty is for this device?? Thank You!!

Nice idea but poor execution
The plastic handle is limp as a noodle and the product is unpleasant to hold and awkward to use. The handle bends when you press the switch to turn on the light and the switch itself has a "mushy" feel and is hard to press all the way down until it makes contact. It is nice to have the light built-in, but the product could be better put together overall.

Disappointing & Flimsy
I was expecting more than I got for a $30 item; it's a good concept that has been poorly executed. I thought that the handle would be sturdy plastic, but it's a bendable material that seems flimsy & not well-made. It's bendable so that you can adjust the angle at which you view the object to be magnified, but this feature doesn't work, because the stem/handle won't hold the angle at which you place it. The handle bounces back into a straight shape, so that there's basically only one angle with which to view objects. The battery compartment is poorly designed & hard to open; the finger notch is near the metal stand, which makes it difficult to get your finger in there to pry it open (it would be much easier to open if the notch were near the end of the handle, not the center of it). The metal "stand" is flimsy & it's hard to balance the magnifier on it. I give it 2* instead of 1*, because it is effective as a hand-held 3x magnifier (with a small 5x "sweet spot"). As a $30 3x magnifier, it's a poor value, & I'll be returning this item.
