I was making some E-Net cables for BMW coding. The connectors supplied had cable strain relief connectors that didn't fit the housings. The hex potions of the cables were too large to fit the molded recesses in each side and allow the connector shell halves to be screwed together. It took an extra 15 minutes work filing and grinding on each connector to fit the strain reliefs into the shell halves to allow closure. I'll probably choose another supplier next time.

OK, but missing screws to hold the two halves together.

This is exactly what we were looking for. It was easy to trade out so we didn't have to buy a whole new scanner.

Mine came with a lot of corrosion on the pcb. Too much effort for a low dollar amount return so going to give 2 stars instead of sending it back. I like that I can take it apart to solder a home made aldl cable but it's got corrosion which I blame for messing it up.

The cable/cord grip that came with this OBD II connector appears to be a generic submersible cord grip. (It is marked as PG-7.) It includes a rubber washer and extra nut for mounting it in an enclosure. If they are needed for this connector then I don't know how. The problem is the nut on the grip that should fit the slot in the connector covers is too large. The nut measures 0.615" (~16 mm) across the flats and the width of the slot in both connector covers measures 0.580" (~15mm). Maybe I'm confused and need more instructions. Please help me if you see what I'm doing wrong and I'll change my rating.
