Lotsa Lights Holiday Flashing Light Bulbs Necklace (Pack of 10)

These lights are getting more expensive and more cheaply made every year-end holiday season because they seem to be getting more popular. I have loved this type of light-up necklace for some time but was quite disappointed this year by the price and quality. I was particularly unhappy with the fact that many of the "bulbs" on the Lotsa Lights flashing lights are actually a solid bulb and do not even light up. It's the colorful brightness of all lighting up that makes them great. Some years ago, I created a "tradition" of buying this kind of light-up necklace for Christmas dinners of about 14 people and give an additional few out to friends. It's a substantial expense at that number, but on this year's Christmas day, even the men like and wear them, and every year someone comes up with a creative fashion. This past season, my adult nephew wrapped the necklace around his forehead like an athletic headband. These are usually lots of fun. We also string them on lamps and other spots around the house. I can't speak yet speak to the life of this season's Lotsa Lites but in past years, many batteries run out quickly, although a couple of diners have brought those from the previous year, still working. I hate to say this but I think I may skip this tradition next year if the price keeps rising. And I can't prejudge the quality of these online because they are made by different manufacturers. I can't say whose I bought in previous years.

Bought for a holiday party and people really enjoyed them. A few had burned out bulbs, but that didn't detract from the overall festive feeling.
