Product description NEW Combo BLUWAVS CD and FLAC FILE .com After the underground success of Life in the Key of Bree, Buck-O-Nine made the leap to the majors and issued this record, co-produced by David Kershenbaum, who'd worked with Joe Jackson--hence, perhaps, the cover of Jackson's "I'm the Man," which perfectly suited the band's ska-punk style. But it was only one of a number of great songs here (the rest originals), with the title track and "Jennifer's Cold," in particular, standing out from the pack. Fast and hard, or slower and groovy, this record showed that Buck-O-Nine were fast masturing into real contenders. --Chris Nickson

Great Ska band from SoCal, brings back memories of my Highschool days
I think that this is one of the more complete albums from this ska band, their later work became somewhat more "commercial" for my taste but they still deserve a listening to. I manly bought this album to remember my Highschool days when i used to listen to ska a lot and really enjoyed this group and album. You wont be disapointed if you want to hear some up beat ska with some SoCal influenced lyrics.

Excellent!
I received this CD within a few days after I ordered it and I was more than pleased. It was new, as advertised, and came in a safe package. I have been enjoying it so much that I might have to buy another one, and I will order it again from the same advertiser. Thank you

I'm not a ska/punk person, but...
I really enjoyed this cd. being a trombone player I enjoyed the simple horn riffs, and its light enough for my liking unlike most hybrid ska/punk outfits. I like the vocals a lot although the lyrics are somewhat weak, and they don't overuse chord changes like most bands of this genre seem to. My friends that are in to 3rd wave ska seem to think this is a horrible cd, but this finds its way into my car's CD player all the time. The only reason this CD doesnt get a 5 is because "I'm the Man" (Track 5) is absolutely horrible and I skip over it every time I play the CD. I would definitely reccomend Twenty-Eight Teeth to people who aren't really into this style of music but are bored with their taste and want to try something new.

Great SKA album
I've listened to lots of ska over the years and I would rate "My Town" as one of my top 10 ska songs of all time. It's as catchy a ska tune as they come...ranks right up there with the classics from the English Beat and with more modern stuff like Rancid.

SKA at it's very finest, consider it skanking yoga!
i must say, TWENTY EIGHT TEETH is the first thing which pops in to my head when the word SKA is mentioned. i bought this CD only because i loved Buck-o-Nine's laid back, home town oriented track "my town." i was greatly surprised to find that many of the songs which followed were if not as good, better than my town. how could i not mention the punk anthem "Steve was dead", the fast catchy ska tune to "what happened to my radio" which sounds like your quick ska tune, but then explodes in your face to the fast drum beats and rocking guitars of punk rock!!! AWESOME CD! check it out, ignore all the NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!

fun, fun, fun
I discovered this band by randomly listening to cds in the punk section of a local cd store and as soon as i heard this i had to have it. Now its just about all i listen to. The lead singer's voice is a little weird but after a short while it starts to sound great. The cd is a great combonations of punk and ska and some other stuff. I love every song, but My Town, Round Kid, and Nineteen are the best.

this album deserves 47 stars!!!
i can't believe anyone would trash this album. i love this band!, ever since i saw them play with face to face in salt lake city. they pretty much rock the roost!! they are a fabulous band live, so much fun. they have the right amount of ska mixed in there with the punk. great guys too, especially Dan Albert the trombone player!! if you hate this band, go see them live...it will change any negative misconceptions you have about them.
