Rockport Men's Perth Pull Up Boat Shoe

A lot of what passes as boat or deck shoes these days are made of a line of leather slapped onto a thin layer of plastic (aka sole) These Perth are properly made. The sole has a middle layer of cushioning and the quality of the outer layer is what you expect from Rockport. The insole is specially crafted and beautifully made, instead of a slice of cheap foam that you find in other deck shoes that cost the same SRP. My only gripe with these shoes is the width. If you are not wide footed you would struggle to wear your size without socks, which is a shame as many would like to wear their deck shoes without socks. Oh, well, there is always the invisible trainer socks if you don't want to cramp your style. Still a 5/5 is what it deserves. If you ever wanted to own a pair of boat shoes, these are the ones.

I’m usually a size 9 (43) But they seem to have come up a little tighter than expected, but I’m hoping that they will stretch a little as I break them in (maybe advise buying a half size up than your usual size) Other than that they are a very well made & good value for money deck shoe..!

Great boat shoes bought these to replace previous pair I’d had for years. They do come up small though I had to exchange my UK 10 for an 11 and they fit fine.

Excellent value for Money and they look fantastic, so ordered a second pair. They are quite dark in colour, more than the picture indicates, no matter Fractionally smaller than I would expect.

I already had these exact shoes in size 10, now about six years old and looking a bit old, decided to get a new pair, a 10 always fits me in any make of shoe so ordered 10s, they were surprisingly big and I could walk out of them easily. I returned them and ordered a 9 1/2 which are still bigger then expected, I can get them on and off without untying after only 2 weeks use. I think that when they are 'broken in' they will be falling off! I recommend that you order a full (UK) size less than normal with this shoe unless you want a really loose fit. I need to wear thicker socks now to keep them on. NB the above does refer to wearing thinnish cotton socks, which will make a difference.

Good quality shoes and very comfortable. They fitted well straight out of the box. Some of the other brands are rather narrow in width but these were fine. On some other reviews there have been problems with sizing but I am happy to say I ordered UK size 10 and got size 10. No problems.

If you have long, narrow feet, you might get into the shoe labeled "W". The fitting description is far from helpful. These shoes are excellent quality and construction, but I would not buy them online unless I wanted to perform trial-and-error (purchase and exchange) until I got the correct fit. I had to return them because of the impossible fit, and I sure hated to do it. It was one of the best pairs of shoes I've seen in a few years.

Wear continuously as an every day shoe. Very comfortable.
