Challenging setup, so-so sound
This item is somewhat challenging to set up, but there's a YouTube video that gives a pretty good walk-through on setting this device up. I did what he did, and the thing came off great. The video was supposed to be just a review, but the kid went into way more detail... which was good for me, since reading the instructions was a challenge only an ESL teacher can appreciate--or tolerate. Here's the link: [...]What isn't great is the sound. There's a really loud buzz at a baritone frequency (if I had more experience with equalizing, I'd tell you what it is). Maybe this was my system; it sounded like I might have had a grounding issue, but my loudspeakers didn't have any, and when I plugged headphones into the same plug that I had this device in, there was no hum (at least, not the loud one this one was transmitting). But I also didn't have great receivers to listen to, so I can't rule them out as also possibly being the problem.
