I LOVE this season. I bought it new for $9.99 when Amazon had it on sale. I love this season it has so many good episodes. I love Dead Celebrities & Butters Bottom Bitch.Let me first say I am a major die hard obsessed Michael Jackson fanatic. I have a shrine to MJ in my living room. I love Dead Celebrities. Before the second half of season 13 aired I just knew they were going to make an episode about MJ's death. I had seen all of South Park before season 13 so I have figured out Matt & Trey's writing style. Sure enough they made half of Dead Celebrities about MJ.I also loved Butters Bottom Bitch. I love this episode so much since Butters didn't act like himself in that episode.I love the finale Pee. Cartman is such a racist. I love his song what happened to my water park. I felt so sorry for Kyle in this episode. I feel the same way Kyle does about pee.

I've been a fan of south park since it started, and i already had seasons 1-12 on dvd, and i was noticing the humour was going a little downhill, it was still really funny, but a fair few of the episodes for me where just falling a little flat and not holding my attention quite as much as most of the earlier seasons, but they all had some amazingly funny episodes.So when buying season 13, i was a little worried to see how far further it would drop in terms of how funny it is (keeping in mind this is my own opinion, i know there are people out there who find the show just as great as its always been, and some even hate the newer seasons), but to my suprise, this season was nothing short of amazing..I think i only remember 1 episode not quite living up to the other 13 episodes, but even then it was still really really funny.If your someone who hasnt been enjoying the newer seasons, i highly recommend you purchase season 13, it may just remind you why you loved south park to begin with!

I was seriously considering ending my South Park collection at 12, but when I saw this on Gold Box recommendation for 18 bux, I decided to get it.It was well worth continuing the collection at that price, and I was surprised that this season was a bit funnier than the last one. "Fish Sticks", "Butter's Bottom Biitch", and "WTF" were funny. Other episodes had funny parts to them like the way the alien talked in "Pinewood Derby".Some episodes, like "Whale Whores" start out funny, but fall into the trap of repeating the same joke until it isn't funny anymore. Just like last season, the plots are heavily reliant on movie plots, and while it can be funny to satirize movies, again they seem caught up in telling stories instead of jokes. "The Coon" had some funny parts to it, but it's almost like they are taking themselves seriously, which is kind of weird. Kind of like they wish they could make an action movie like Batman.South Park isn't very subtle in their message, and it can be a bit annoying at times. Whereas some shows might hint at something like Disney being evil, and get on with the jokes, South Park bombards you with the same message again and again. They even have the mouse give a big speech at the end about how stupid people are, just in case you missed it the first hundred times.I never liked the part at the end during any season, where it was time to learn a lesson, and the characters speak directly to you in case you are really dense. I appreciate that Matt and Trey have their own unique opinions, but the show assumes an air that their opinions are right, and that they have to prove it to you takes away from the comedy.I've read reviews about both this show and The Simpsons (another show I like a lot) where people bemoan how the series has long passed its heyday. I would disagree with this nostalgia, and argue that a season can still be good, and doesn't have to have a golden period. Still funny after all these years.

Simpson's and other show's have nothing on South Park! They hit every current situation spot on, with the best comedy ever! The character's rule! You must complete the whole series! You will be rolling with tears laughing, if you have humor and understand current events! Love the humor, anyone with a brain gets South Park and the events on the way they handle them:) BEST

Ich hatte bisher noch nicht all zu viele Folgen dieser Staffel gesehen und da mir einige Leute gesagt haben, dass die 2. Staffelhälfte relativ schwach sein soll hatte ich nicht all zu hohe Erwartungen an diese Staffel. Jedoch muss ich gestehen, dass sie mir sehr gut gefallen hat.Die Staffel fängt schon stark an, mit der Folge "Der Ring". Einer der besten Kenny Folgen und gleichzeitig zieht sie Disney (auf eine sehr lustige Art) in den Dreck. Doch noch mehr beeindruckt hat mich jedoch die 2. Folge "Der Coon". Dies ist eine Parodie auf solche Filme, wie "The dark Knight" und was natürlich faszinierend an der Folge ist, ist das Rätsel, wer sich nun hinter der Maske von Mysterion versteckt. Mittlerweile werden es wohl alle wissen, doch damals war es noch ein absolutes Rätsel. Hierbei lohnt es sich übrigens auch, sich das "alternative Ende" anzusehen. Weiter geht es dann mit meiner Meinung nach der schwächsten Folge der Staffel, die jedoch (allgemein betrachtet) immer noch relativ gut ist und zwar "Margaritaville", wobei es um die Finanzkrise geht, jedoch hatte die Folgen ein paar Längen und ist daher die schwächste Folge der Staffel. Etwas besser geht es dann allerdings weiter mit der Folge "Queeft los", zwar konnte ich weniger mit der Terrence und Philipp Sache anfangen, dafür allerdings mehr wenn die Männer/Jungs mit den Frauen/Mädchen streiten und wie das jeweilige Geschlecht zusammen hält. Darauf folgt die Folge "Leck mich am Stäbchen" und bei dieser Folge empfehle ich, obwohl ich eigentlich ein Fan der deutschen Synchronisation bin, sie im Original Ton zu hören, da man sonst so einiges nicht versteht. Hier lohnt es sich übrigens auch, sich das alternative Ende anzusehen. Nach zwei weiteren Folgen, ist dann die 1. Staffelhälfte abgeschlossen und die 2. Hälfte fängt mit der Folge "Tote Promis" an, die ich relativ solide fand, jedoch viel besser fand ich die nächste Folge "Butters' Ober-Bitch", Butters bei seinem Geschäft zuzusehen macht einfach nur Spaß und ist damit eines der Highlights, der Staffel. Nach einer ebenfalls sehr guten Folge "Ringen und Wrestling" kommen wir zu meiner Lieblingsfolge der 13. Staffel "Der Sündenwal". Diese Folge zeigt ziemlich gut, wie schlimm der Walfang ist und man bekommt sehr viel Mitleid mit den Tieren. Dazu bietet sie dieses grandiose schwarzhumorige Ende und ist nicht nur das Highlight der Staffel, sondern auch einer der besten Folgen überhaupt! Nach einer weiteren Folge, kommen wir dann zu einer ebenfalls sehr guten Folge "Der mit dem Schlumpf tanzt". Dazu kann man eigentlich gar nicht viel sagen, seht es euch einfach an! Die Staffel bekommt daraufhin einen würdigen Abschluss, mit "Pipi Park". Zwar ist die Folge stellenweise etwas eklig, allerdings gefällt mir die Lokation, mit dem Wasserpark und gegen Ende hin ist sie schon verdammt lustig!Kommen wir nun zur DVD: Es sind wie immer die unterhaltsamen Mini - Audiokommentare von den Machern Trey Parker und Matt Stone drauf, sowie einen ca. 4 Minuten langen Einblick in Entwicklung der Sendung. Was jedoch ganz neu ist sind die "Deleted Scenes", die ich sehr sehenswert finde und (wie erwähnt) vorallem die alternativen Enden von "Der Coon" und "Leck mich am Stäbchen" haben mir sehr zugesagt! Außerdem ist die Serie nun vom 4:3 zum 16:9 Format gewechselt, was auch langsam mal zeit wurde. Was noch bei der Verpackung zu erwähnen ist, dass die FSK Kennzeichnung (im Gegensatz zu Staffel 10 - 12) nur ein Aufkleber ist, der sich (mit etwas Vorsicht) problemlos abziehen lässt und auch nicht die Farbe der geprägten Figuren abblättert.Fazit: Eine sehr gelungene Staffel, in einer sehr gelungenen Veröffentlichung

I still remember the first time I heard about "South Park." My friend called me up laughing her head off, and trying to describe this hilarious new cartoon show where this one little boy "Kenny" gets killed in every episode. Well, being a mother of a pair of young teens, I couldn't see how this could be funny, but I watched it anyways because I knew my kids would hear about it from other kids at school. I was surprised by my reaction to the show! I was laughing out loud! IT WAS FUNNY! HILARIOUSLY FUNNY!After their dad and I talked about it, we decided that our boys should be able to watch this show too, so we all watched it as a family and it became a really serious vehicle for family discussions of the topics raised. This is the important part! YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SHOW WITH THE KIDS SO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT LATER AND CAN PARTICIPATE IN THAT CONVERSATION. My two boys learned a lot of life lessons from seeing "South Park" and talking with us about it afterwards (sometimes even during)."South Park" will not turn kids into potty mouths, it will not "warp their fragile little minds," neither will it turn them into violent people. "South Park" is a marvelous vehicle for discussion. It brings up all sorts of subjects and topics that other programs run screaming from, and it does it in a humorous, thought-provoking way. This may not have been Trey Parker and Matt Stone's intention to begin with, but they must be aware of it by now. LOLInitially, the "bad" words were bleeped out, but in such a way you knew exactly what they were. But now, it's uncensored and it's hardly noticeable when the characters use them, probably because these words are already mainstream in our own culture and it seems pretty natural.It's really amazing that SP stays so fresh and current, but then WE give them a lot of material with the ridiculousness of our world and the silly and sometimes stupid things that happen all around us. The show is pure genius and continues to teach as well as entertain. And, for those young parents out there. . . any child from the second grade on up can watch this show WITH YOU to guide them. My two boys have both grown up to be good, responsible young men. It's all a matter of staying involved with them, not in the TV shows they watch.All South Park fans: you have to buy this set! If you aren't a fan, you're missing out on something that is shaping our society, so get the first season and start from there.

South Park ist eine us amerikanische Zeichentrickserie die seit 1997 auf den Bildschirmen zu sehen ist. Nach einem holprigen Start im Nachtprogramm von RTL hat die Serie in den letzten Jahren in Deutschland seine Heimat bei Comedy Central gefunden.In der dreizehnten Staffel haben Stan, Kyle, Cartman und Kenny wieder eine menge absurde Abenteuer zu bestehen. So schlüpft Cartman in die Rolle des treuen Beschützers von South Park (Der Coon), wird auch South Park von der Wirtschaftskrise eingeholt mit merkwürdigen Folgen (Margaritaville), dreht sich alles um einen bestimmten Witz (Leck mich am Stäbchen), bekommen die Bewohner von South Park Besuch aus dem Weltall (Pinewood Derby), wird Cartman Pirat (Käpt'n Fettbart), wird Ike von toten Promis verfolgt (Tote Promis), gründen die Junge eine eigene Wrestling Liga (Ringen um Wrestling) und übertreibt Cartman mal wieder maslos und findet doch seine Meisterin (Der mit dem Schlumpf tanzt).Bei South Park darf man mich ruhig als Spätzünder bezeichnen. Ich mochte die Folgen der ersten Staffeln damals nicht wirklich und sehe sie auch heute nicht wirklich gerne. Doch die neuen Folgen mag ich nicht nur sondern finde sie genial. Bei vielen Serien streitet man sich darum ob die Folgen besser oder schlechter werden, ich glaube bei South Park ist die Antwort klar. Die Folgen und somit die ganze Serie werden von Jahr zu Jahr immer besser.Wobei der derbe Humor nicht mehr der einigste Punkt ist der die Serie ausmacht. Auch die vielen guten, intelligenten und aktuellen Anspielungen auf politische wie Gesellschaftliche Themen sind gekonnt und unterhaltsam.Die DVD Veröffentlichung ist eine der besten die ich bisher gesehen habe. Hier bekommt man alle 14 Episoden der dreizehnten Staffel, verteilt auf 3 Disks. Auf den beiden Aussenseiten des Pappschubers kann man sehen welche Folgen insgesamt zu finden sind, auf welcher Disc diese zu finden sind sowie mit einer kurzen Inhaltsangabe.Als Specials bekommt man entfallene Szenen, Minikommentare von den Machern sowie eine Tour hinter die Kulissen der South Park Studios.Zur Info. Der blaue FSK Aufkleber lässt sich einfach und ohne Probleme ablösen.South Park ist es gelungen sich neben den Simpsons zu behaupten und eine eigene und treue Fangemeinde aufzubauen. Auch wenn ich etwas gebraucht habe, zähle ich mich heute auch zu dieser Fangemeinde und freue mich über alle neuen Folgen von Stan, Kyle, Cartman und Kenny.
