Wildheart

This is my third format of Wildhert purchased from Amazon. I purchased the digital copy right away. After o saw the tour live from the front row O became even more in love with this epic album and asked my husband for the vinyl copy. I'm happy to own the vinyl but I listen to this album straight through many time a week sometimes more than once a day, so the cd seems convenient as opposed to flipping and switching the vinyl around. Anyway I have submitted the broken one for a return and ordered another, because I need the case to be working.As for the music, this is Miguel's best work thus far- his other work is good but this is next level. My respect for his artistry grew with this work.

This is not a mainstream R&B album, but in a good way. The emotion on this album is raw on many tracks, and songs seem a little less polished than his previous albums. Definitely shows a variety of his musical influences, and his growth as an artist. I only gave it 4 stars because there are some tracks where it feels like he's trying too hard (or at least that's what it seems to me). The song "what's normal anyway" epitomizes this album. Overall, I'm diggin' this album.

It is different from the songs and albums Miguel has released in the past. This album has an edgier sound. To me it has some rock infused sounds with R&B/Hip Hop. With those sounds, along with Miguel's incredible voice, I think it's one of the best albums of the year. It really shows the growth of Miguel as an artist and I can't wait to hear these new songs live. My favorite songs of the album are Coffee, Hollywood Dreams, what's normal anyway, Flesh, gfg, and Simple Things.

Miguel is a beast! Super talented as a singer, songwriter, producer and performer. Wildheart is an adventurous disc that covers rock, soul, hip hop masterfully. He definitely was a student of the late, great Prince.

I've been a fan of Miguel since AIWIY. Loved Kaleidoscope Dream but Wildheart is really amazing. This album sounds like LA. Upon first listen I thought that this album should've been the soundtrack for the Jake Gyllenhal film Nightcrawler. It has that same lurid, urgent feel. 5 Stars!

Miguel's Wildheart is worth the purchase if for nothing else, he is demonstrating how a particular genre of music is not confining his ambitions to explore. Considering his last album was a commercial success, I hope his fan base is willing to go along on his musical journey.

Miguel is a great artist, there are lots of good songs on this album and I think he is underrated. Great Album!

Miguel is one of the greatest artists out there and his songs just keep getting better and better! This is hands down one of my favorite cds ever!

I saw Miguel doing a live show on one of the Sky music channels and didn't know him at the time.I loved his stage presence and his voice.I bought his first album Kaleidoscope and loved it so was looking forward to his new one.This is not a patch on the first one.Some of the tracks I didn't like at all and some were too similar to ones on the other album.Very disappointed.

Fast shipping, great cd

By far, the best R&B album from 2015. Miguel is one of the most talented artist of our generation and Wildheart sounds personal, emotional, sexy, and lovely. Good job !

Leider bin ich erst bei der Veröffentlichung von Miguels zweiten Album "Kaleidoscope Dream" auf seine unglaubliche Stimme und Musik gestoßen. Miguels Musik und Stil sind meiner Meinung nach einzigartig, in der aktuellen RnB-Szene gibt es zwar viele schräge Vögel, doch Miguel ist in seiner Performance ein ganz eigener Typ, der keine Angst davor hat, einfach der zu sein, der er ist: authentisch, crazy, ehrlich, wild und leidenschaftlich. Und dazu noch ein wunderbarer Sänger!Ich würde gar nicht sagen, dass sein aktuelles Album "Wildheart" unbedingt besser ist als seine anderen Alben, aber man erkennt eine unglaubliche Steigerung und Weiterentwicklung der Musik. Als Miguel-Fan weiß man, dass sich Miguel viel mit E-Gitarren und ähnlichen Klängen aus der Rock-Richtung beschäftigt und viele Elemente dessen schon auf "Kaleidoscope Dream" zu finden waren. Mit "Wildheart" entfernt sich Miguel ein Stück weit vom schnulzigen RnB-Pop und greift in fast allen Songs diese Elemente wieder auf, und es macht Spaß. Dazu muss man sagen, dass das Album in einer grandiosen Qualität aufgenommen und produziert wurde, die genau seinen Stil unterstreichen.Seine Qualitäten stellt er auch auf der Bühne ohne Probleme und ohne Enttäuschung unter Beweis. Ich habe ihn 2013 als Vorband bei Alicia Keys in Hamburg erlebt, kurze Zeit später in Berlin mit seiner damaligen Tour zu "Kaleidoscope Dream" und nun vor einigen Tagen in Hamburg um "Wildheart" vorzustellen. Es war großartig, seine Stimme ist live weich wie Butter oder kratzig und düster - je nach Song. Miguel gibt alles, egal auf der Platte oder auf der Bühne. Meines Erachtens ist Miguel ein (leider viel zu) unterschätzter Künstler, den die Welt noch nicht gut genug kennt. Schade!Anspieltipps: Waves, Leaves, Coffee, Face The Sun, Hollywood Dreams, Simple Things (allerdings die ursprüngliche Version auf dem GIRLS Soundtrack!)

Jetzt schon mein Lieblings-Album 2015!!! Miguel macht super Musik auf seine eigene Weise. Es gibt keinen vergleichbaren Künstler in der R'n'B Szene, er hat einfach diesen coolen Style, es ist eine gute Mischung (irgendwas zwischen Pop, Indie Rock und Hiphop). Sehr gut gefällt mir das viel E-Gitarren Sound dabei ist, keine merkwürdigen Geräusche die nur vom Computer erzeugt wurden. Wie bei der Musikrichtung üblich handeln die Texte überwiegend von Liebe und Sex, aber Miguel bringt das ganze immer cool in seinem auch teilweise ruffen Style rüber so das es nie zu schnulzig wird, immer mit diesem besonderen 70-80 iger Jahre Touch. Für meinen Geschmack ist dieses Album sein Meisterstück, obwohl die ersten beiden auch schon sehr sehr sehr gut waren. Kauft dieses Album und unterstützt gute Musik, damit wir noch mehr davon bekommen!!!:-)

Ich musste mich erst in das Album rein hören. Jetzt gefällt es mir genauso gut wie Kaleidoscope Dream. Miguel ist seit seinen Mixtapes Art Dealer Chic 1-3 einer meiner Lieblingskünstler.
