So simple!
Brilliant. So very simple and perfect for home recycling. Pop in the pod, push down. Rinse the inside out pod and pop it in your recycling bin. If you use aluminium pods you should buy one!

Easy to use little gadget, love it!!
What a fabulous little gadget!! It turns the aluminium capsules inside out every time and I use the coffee on my garden. So much easier than the recycling service that Nespresso offer and my roses appreciate the natural fertiliser from the grounds. Definitely value for money.

Very useful bit of kit
I bought this little device because I could never be bothered to take the aluminium canisters back to teh Nespresso shop for recycling. I then changed to compostable Nespresso pods, but they can be a bit messy, the range of roasts is a bit limited and they can be a bit expensive. Then I came upon his device here on Amazon and thought that, at this price it was worth a punt. It's simplicity itself to use. Just put the pod upside-down in the top of the device, Pop the 'lid' on and ... push! That's it.The device turns the aluminium pod inside out, as the aluminium is quite soft and malleable. It deposits the coffee grounds in the hopper. All you need to to do then, is rinse the remaining grounds off the inverted pod, and recycle the aluminium whichever way your council wants. The coffee ground are popped in your composting bin (or your own compost heap). Job done!It is easy to clean. I don't know if it's dish-washer safe, but you can hand-clean it easily.A word of warning though. Some pods aren't aluminium, but plastic. This device 'will' crush the pod, but it makes a hell of a noise, and just splits the plastic pod in half and I fear for the safety of the device... Similarly, don't try this device on compostable pods. Ask me how I know! Both these and the plastic ones are too brittle for success.Overall, it's a cracking little piece of kit, and quite small, so you can usually find a place in the kitchen for it.Highly recommended.

Does the job if a bit messy sometimes
Does the job but often the capsule doesn't squash properly leaving coffee grounds inside. But easy enough to rinse out.

Simply works
Absolutely brilliant. Simple to use and works perfectly. Makes Nespresso pods easy to recycle. Pushing through this removes the ground coffee before a quick rinse and putting them in the recycling.

Amazing Gadget
I was always reluctant to just throw my used coffee pods away so would normally use a sharp knife to remove the foil then scoop out the coffee into our food waste container, rinse the pod and put it into recycling. Not an ideal way of doing it and very fortunate to not have re over any fingers in the process.A friend told me he had a special gadget for emptying the pods and recommended this one to me.It is so much easier and quicker using it.It is solidly made and so simple I am very glad I bought this.It is very easy to clean and is only made up of three parts.Would highly recommend it

Very easy to use.
This is very easy to use and you can press 10 capsules before needing to empty the container. It’s good for the environment as you can dispose of the coffee grounds in your green waste bag or compost them and the aluminium pods can go in your black bin.
