BEST DAMN DAD SHOE OUT THERE
NOTE: Long wind story coming up. Actual review at bottom. From the second i put these bad boys on my life changed, I started calling everyone sport and giving them a slap on the back. There is a back story to me ordering these shoes and why there is basically a before and after picture with the caps turned green.I was in some desperate need of some mowing shoes, as my old ones basically became way to powerful in the smells department.I usually rotate through to mowing shoes like most, you know buy a new pair of shoes and you just can't wait to turn that old pair green from mowing. This year though due to the notorious covid I didn't get out and get a nice new pair of kicks and had to rotate without backup shoes and had resorted to mowing in an old pair of heavy ass steel toe boat shoes/loafers I had laying around. So in desperate need of some fresh new mowing kicks and not wanting to use my new face mask to go rob a bank just for some mowing shoes, I set out to find some cheap ass shoes that would preform.I happened to stumble upon these bad boys, the holy grail of white dad shoe. Now, everyone brags about new balance but the Columbia shoes are awesome! They have a very aggressive tread which keep my feet planted and from slipping and busting my ass in the yard whilst making mad quick direction changes to get dem stripes with the push mower. The suckas came in and next day they were out in the yard for an hour and a half push mowing pretty much straight from the box (minus the hour or so walking around the house when they arrived, showing off these puppies to anyone in the house that would care to have a look at them).I'm not one to write reviews or take pictures of shoes for no damn reason but these have impressed me so much so that here we are.PROS:White color of this model cheap af (under $40 to the front door)Very comfortable straight out of the box and to the yard mowingI wear an 11.5 in most shoes, so I ordered 11.5 and they fit like an 11.5 shoe.CONS:I didn't discover them soonerThey stain easily (HAHAHA THIS ISN'T A CON, THOSE BAD BOYS EARNED THOSE GREEN STRIPES)They aren't made in the USA

Felt at least 1/2 a size too big!
I ordered the black/grey ones in size 7 and for once (b/c all the other hiking shoes that i've tried by Columbia have run narrow and small up till now) they were too big so i returned them.I ordered these as hiking shoes but they definitely seemed more like trail-running shoes. In fact, I think they'd probably be better utilized as every day shoes rather than on the trail b/c I don't think these shoes would've lasted long as hiking shoes for me--not with the way I go through hiking shoes (i'm REALLY hard on my hiking shoes and go through a pair every 3-6 months). They have a decent tread but they're made of lighter aerated material that lets your feet breathe (this also means your feet will probably get damp in wet grass and rain). To me, this fabric seemed too cheap and flimsy, but I was looking at these shoes from the perspective of a hiker who consistently wears out my shoes. It's the kind of material with that would inevitably get tears around the toe area for me (letting in gravel, dust, and rocks). Most people aren't as hard on their shoes as me though. I think these would be fine for every day wear and they were a really good price (around $30-40 from what I remember). Just consider that there might be a sizing issue before you order.

Super lightweight, and very comfortable.
I've been wearing a variety of Columbia's low-top hiking shoes for years now. Primarily the waterproof variety, because at my work, I often need to hose myself off at the end of a shift. It's nice when that doesn't lead to wet feet.I purchased these because summer is here and the waterproof lining on my other shoes don't breathe super well, and I get hot, sweaty feet. I wanted the same level of comfort and durability, with some additional airflow, and I am not disappointed. These shoes are very lightweight, the sole is fairly rigid, but still extremely comfortable after all-day wear. They ran true to size, thanks to the ability to order in wide sizes, I did not need to order a size larger. If you are looking for an affordable, lightweight, stylish, but capable hiking sneaker, you came to the right place. It's worth noting I do not use these strictly for hiking, they're my every day all day shoes when I'm not at work. I did 21,000 steps in them yesterday around my city, and my feet were comfortable and dry when I removed them at the end of the night. For those with high arches that demand strong arch support though, you will almost certainly need inserts. I have nearly completely flat feet, and a strong arch support causes my feet to ache. That does not occur with these shoes, so I suspect the arch support is minimal.

Good...but
Well made, comfortable shoe with aggressive tread....but be careful when soles are wet on slick surfaces, very slippery especially on tile, marble and polished.

Laces slip
I recently bought the product for walking, which my wife and I do frequently. The shoes seem to have excellent support and appear to be of solid construction with quality components. They are relatively comfortable to wear, but walking in them for some time will tell the tale. My only complaint at this point is that the laces slip, even with a double knot. I have try to hold the first knot tightly to get the second knot tied before the first knot slips....bothersome to say the least; the second time I have put them on and I'm already thinking that I must find a better set of laces.....with that said the shoes are reasonably priced and I consider them a value.

Imprescindible

I like 'em
I like them. They're light. They breath. Good cushioning. Good grip. Just what I wanted. I followed Columbia's recommendations to find the correct size. Put your foot up against a wall on a piece of paper, draw line, measure, look up your shoe size. Done. Thanks.

Top Wanderschuh
