NuVinci N360 Gearless Drive Hub, 36H Disc, Silver

This hub is fantastic.First off let me start by telling you this is installed in a Terra Trike Rover (a recumbent trike), laced to a 26"wheel and teamed up with a Patterson Metropolis crankset.Together this combination works flawlessly.With this hub you are never in a wrong gear as if you come to a stop and didn't shift down you just twist the handle and go down to what you would consider low gear as there are no gears,one thing to note however is that if it's at the very bottom or top of the''gear'' range you will only get 3/4 of the range when you twist the grip,this is normal and as soon as you start pedaling you will be able to get the rest of the range.I had really liked my recumbent trike with the 8 speed IGH that I had ordered with it when I purchased it new but really love it now with the new setup.I will be the 1st to admit that I can't say how this would work in a regular bike but again it works great for me in my setup.With the NuVinci 360 I have a lower bottom end ''gear''wise,but not as high of a top end as my old sturmey-archer 8 speed IGH(which made the guys at the local bike shop tell me I might not like the NuVinci)but in combination with the Patterson crankset with the over drive setup it now has a higher top ''gear''also and that's what makes this setup perfect in my opinion,also the fact that the chainline is clean because of no derailers.I hope this review helps some of you out there

Wow, what an innovation. Has caused me to name my vehicle, "Sally," as in "Ride, Sally, ride," for those of you who remember the song, "Mustang Sally."

This is, simply put, dreamy. It takes a bit of getting used to, but works quietly, efficiently, flawlessly, with an excellent range. I've only had it for a bit over a month, so I'll update my review if things change...cuz anybody can review an item "fresh out of the box", and it doesn't really give an accurate representation of the long-term quality of the item.
