I ordered an extra large, I wondered is it an extra large for a kitten? This jacket run extremely small

I ordered the 3XL for my 30 lb dog, an Australian cattle dog/whippet mix. It surprisingly fits him quite well, but given the fact that my dog usually wears a medium or large, the sizing of this jacket is absurd. The fabric is not very thick, but I don't mind, since I bought this jacket mostly for the next World Cup, and that's in the summer anyway. The zipper is sturdy, and there is a narrow fold of fabric underneath it to ensure your dog's fur doesn't get caught in it. The jacket is cut to cover my dog's stomach without going down far enough to get in the way when he needs to relieve himself, and the sleeves cover most of his legs well, too. The printing on the back looks like it will hold up well, but I suppose that still remains to be seen, since my dog hasn't worn it out and about yet. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase, and I would recommend it, with the only stipulation being that whoever orders it be careful with regard to sizing.
