Such a wonderfully illustrated book!

‪The Twelve Days of Christmas illustrated by LeUyen Pham is a multicultural delight! Days 3-7 are humorous with animal antics & multicultural from days 8-12 where maidens, ladies, lords, &drummers from all over the world celebrate together. Included: Music sheet & brief song’s history. The inside of the book jacket doubles as a beautiful poster with all the “gifts” celebrating together.

In The Twelve Days of Christmas, two sweet children walk us through all of the verses of the song and the illustrations are beautiful with a lovely vintage feel to them. It is interesting as the song advances into the verses that include people, how many nations are represented and we are offered a glimpse into lots of other worldwide cultures. The music and words for the entire song are in the back of the book, in case you’d like to practice it on a musical instrument. There is also a detailed two page illustration where children can seek and find all of the 78 gifts from the song. A history of the background of the popular holiday song is included as well. They also had the fun idea of the book jacket doubling as a poster, which would make a lovely Christmas wall decoration.
