I live in MA and I made it through the first winter without any issues but the second winter the bottom portion froze solid blocking my air vent which causes problems when you flush a toilet. I had to hire a roofer to get on a snow covered roof at the time of failure to remove it. The bag was 2.5 years old and I planned to replace in the spring but the freeze beat me to it. Maybe it would be a good idea to remove it in the Fall.
