Reliable and relatively easy to set up
The smart plugs are great for the Apple HomeKit and work really well. The range is pretty good too with WiFi as I have one at the bottom of the garden in the summer house which operates the pond on a timer I set through Apple HomeHub. The set up was a bit temperamental. It’s easy through the manufacturers own app but Apple... well, it’s Apple being Apple with all things non-Apple! It either connects first time or takes two or three attempts. Once connected though, it’s really stable and hasn’t lost a connection yet which is great when I forget to turn on the fan when I’m cycling indoors... “hey Siri, turn on gym fan” and voila! I’m transformed from looking like a raging killer tomato to a cardiovascular blush! They are well worth the money but they are quite chunky so bear that in mind when you are thinking of where to put them.

I just shout at my house and things happen!
We now have 4 of these in the house (2 new, 2 over 6 months, no reliability problems so far) running the kettle in the kitchen, a bedside lamp upstairs, a lamp that serves as the main light in the living room most evenings and a spare that unless I think of something in the mean time will probably do seasonal duty on (indoor) Christmas tree lights. I've got the meross app on my phone but that was only really used for setting up (under 5 minutes per device and no problems despite having a fairly complex home network set up) and do the control via google home (we've got 3 chromecasts, 2 google phones and a google home hub in the house so it made sense to keep it all in one ecosystem) - integration with that was very easy, one the device is named in the meross app open the home app and it pops up as a new device with that name and asks you what room you want to assign it to.We've set up some very useful commands like saying "goodnight" turns off the living room lamp at the same time as turning on the upstairs one so no juggling with lightswitches if your taking the laundry basket up at the same time and the kettle turns on with our alarms (from the phones) in the morning so by the time we've got downstairs its boiled and ready to make the first cup of tea of the day.Theyve been very simple to use- my other half isnt tech savy and shes had no problem using them daily. The only glitch we've had is that one of them seemed to get confused by me resetting the router which had frozen while the smart plug was on, but that was just a matter of turning it off and on again at the wall and has only happened once I think (it would only really become a problem if you were to install the smart plug somewhere really inaccessible)Presuming the other products work the same I will definitely be incorporating more meross devices into my home automation in future.

Cost effective HomeKit compatible socket switch
At the time of purchase, these plugs are significantly cheaper than other socket switches with HomeKit support.Setting up was not as easy as it should have been. You have to download the Meross app (you would hope that HomeKit would remove the need for individual app downloads). I followed the instructions, which involved disabling the 5Ghz WiFi network on my router (to ensure both the socket and your phone are both on the same 2.4Ghz network). Although it could be seen, the connection would just not be made. I’m pretty competent at network infrastructure and everything g was done as suggested so this was pretty frustrating and wasted a lot of time.Eventually, I installed the Meross app on an Android tablet, which worked 1st time to set up the devices. After they were set up from Android, they could be seen by the iOS app and HomeKit. This confirmed I had set everything up correctly, so it looks like in my case the iOS app just doesn’t work for setting this up. After setup, you can switch your 5Ghz back on.Once set up, they seem to work reliably. HomeKit gives me more confidence in their security than a random no-name brand.Physically they are quite bulky but they don’t block access to the socket’s switch. They have their own on/off switch on top which is well positioned and works even when no WiFi.If the setup had been smoother, I would give them 5 stars.

Wifi plugs that just work, I love them
These work like a charm, I love them. I'm using it with Apple Homekit and so far it's not let me down.I had a garden studio, so in the winter I plug my studio heater into this plug and have automation to make it come on in the morning. It also checks that it's off in the evening. That is really handy as my garden studio gets nice and warm as I put the coffee on. I'm a delicate flower and need my seat nice and warm before I start work. Also in the same studio, I have a lamp set to come on and go off at set times. The setup was super simple, the plugs just work. Anyone who has had problems I'm just assuming they did not read the instructions. It's an easy way to make old electrical appliances compatible with the home kit. The only slight downside is the size of the plug. They are quite big and stick out quite a lot.

Good quality and HomeKit enabled!
The media could not be loaded. I have purchased Meross products in the past. They have all been easy to set up and of good quality. These Smart Plugs are no different.Appearance:Like my other smart plugs from Meross, these are matte white and bulky, but do not encroach on adjacent sockets. Whilst the plug does partly cover the physical switch you can still happily turn it on/off.The physical button on the switch has a nice click when pressed.Setup:I set the plug up using the Home app on iOS.The process was the same as other accessories: Add Accessory > scan the code printed on the side of the plug.Functionality:Turning on and off from the Home app is nearly instant. The plug gives off an an audible click which allows me to know the command has worked.Unlike the non-HomeKit models this unfortunately does not have power monitoring which is slightly disappointing.Cost:For HomeKit plugs they are at the lower end of the price range, and are WiFi rather than Bluetooth or Zigbee (requiring a hub) which is a big win in my book.Note: I was asked to review these plugs for Meross
