Midnight Secretary, Vol. 4

I like it. It’s a cute series. It’s just…nothing special. It doesn’t blow me away. The book is about vampires and humans and it just....does not make you fall in love with the characters! When I choose a shojo to read, I want to fall in love with them. This one is a good series, but don’t expect to have your heart strings plucked.

Such a classic! I love this series and totally love the sass this secretary gives to her boss.

3.5 starsI am starting to feel a heavy repetition going on at this point in the series. While I love the artwork, i feel like little happened in this volume.Kaya just keeps going on how she is "his secretary" which is quickly getting old. She wants to be more obviously but she doesn't even try to envision herself in another light. So she frustrated me a bit. Every few pages we get that thrown at us. I wanted to just scream "move on already!" So a bit too much internal dialogue for my taste.Now for what plot movement we do get involves a new vampire that Kaya starts to perceive as a threat. While she is starting to stand up for herself a bit more, she still needs to be more assertive. But trying to give her some slack as she is pulling double duty throughout this volume. I got to give her character some kudos for diligence.Still a good series and the end gives us just enough hope that the pace is about to pick up once more!

As with the previous volumes I've had trouble putting it down as I have become so engrossed in the characters and plot line.Satozuka has now left Erde and is working for Tohma as his secretary.Definitely recommend if you enjoyed the previous volumes.

After reading the first volume I became hooked. The graphics are great, the story line is intriguing and keeps you guessing. If you like your non-typical vampire/human romance I would definitely recommend giving these a go.
