I didn't want one that clips to the monitors since I have dual monitors and it would be off to the side, causing a shadow on one side of my face. This light allows me to use the stand and sit it right in the middle, behind my monitors. The height is tall enough so that it is above my monitors and lights me up quite nicely while I'm on zoom.
