Pricey but worth it, if you are half way serious.
You get what you pay for. Admittedly, $140+ is a bit pricey for a kite, but Prism has long been known to be one of the best. I was looking for a large span kite that could handle lower wind (4mph approx,) but needed sturdiness for those occasions when we have high wind (10-15mph+) or we're travelling and get lucky enough to be coastal. I selected another no-name 'butterfly' type pattern dual line kite, with a very large wing span (biggest I could find), and it was just under $60. So how does a $60 kite compare to a $150 kite? Let's start with the materials. The spars/spreaders on the prism are beautiful. Stiff, but great flex, and most importantly, LIGHTWEIGHT. The cheaper no-name kite has these odd spars, that are effectively, but have a strange texture that's hard to describe, not smooth. Weight wise, not TOO bad either. The Bridle lines--Prism, hands down, has a superior bridle. The lines are thinner and lighter but stronger too! You want thin, for less wind resistance, and of course, we know why we want light weight. The knockoff kite uses a poly blend line that's about about thick as angel hair pasta, pretty thick, and absorbant. The kite body main material: Prism is beautifully made/printed, and finished. Seams are tight and clean, no loose threads. The knockoff stuff was ripstop also, but much heavier and thicker. The whiskers (those are the parts that use the lower spreader and a short length of rod to keep the kite stretched and to shape) on the knock off kite are poorly made and poorly cut pieces of fiberglass rod, not even any type of protectors. The Prism's whiskers are exactly what you'd expect of a high end kite, properly protected, thin but strong, and they sit into nice connectors. Even the storage case for the prism is superior, allowing you to stash the kite without having to break down the long leading edges. The knockoff kite has a storage sack too, but you will have to completely disassemble the kite to get it to fit. With the prism, if you DO want to totally disassemble, you can, and the case can be shortened to fit snugly. Fine engineering! The supplied lines are also miles apart in quality. The prism lines are very thing and have super low stretch. They zip through the wind like a hot knife through butter. The knockoff kite uses, again, thick poly blend that stretches a little more, but are notably HEAVY. The handles supplied are not that remarkably amazing for either kite. When it comes to flight though, that's where all these little individual differences pay off HUGE with the Prism. Talk about quiet! I was impressed at how quiet the Prism was---almost never a flutter. When you hear the flutter on the other kite, in even a gentle breeze, you know your drag is super high, and that you're losing energy because of it. This means a slower and less responsive kite. Just night and day between these two. Worth the difference in price? Well, that depends on YOU. Prism is simply the best of these. In the dual line stunt kite category, you have to really start making your own with the best of the best components to compete. If you're a beginner and don't have a ton of experience, maybe go the cheaper route just to test the water to see if you'd like to get more into it. But, if you are an experienced stunt kite flyer, it's a no brainer. So simple and easy, the Prism Quantum is a winner!

Prism, you’ve done it again!
Prisms mid the high-level kites are some of the best kites in industry. I have yet to buy a kite in that category that has not brought me joy or excitement will fly kites. I have traveled all across the US have been to all coastline in America and kites at everyone of those locations. One of the prison kites has always followed me around and when I was showing off a little bit, I let go of the kite, the wins and the up drafts to get out the sea. So I bought this kite and considering the price of this kite is half the price of the kite I was flying Flew better and tricks easy to get on its back easy for side to side tricks. This kite is just fun to fly. It’s like Therapy for The kite people. It could be soft and slow winds that are steady and can also perform tricks in the medium wins that a lot of kites can’t. 20 mph 25 mph winds this kite is a monster it precisely maneuvers with the lightest touch on the handles. The can also be gentle for those point of point landings and soft reelable landings. I have water this four times and been very successful. Don’t worry by the time I hit the ground. It was dry so if you’re looking for a kite that you can learn on this , just barely a good kite for the beginner and if you’re an intermediate flyer can take you to the next level. Great training for experienced. In fact the last competition I went to I saw a lot of these kites being beautifully operated in the competition. I would definitely recommend this kite to others both beginners to experts

Amazing kite, make sure you have powerful winds to enjoy
Just make sure you have the wind. Took this out for the first time today, the day started out with 30 mph winds and by the time I was out of work it settled to 6-12 mph. Now I could have been in a "doughnut" is in my field was sunk in or trees in the way, but I had a heck of time getting to stay up. Like a jet without propulsion these kites need a LOT of wind or you will find it it falling gently back to earth in no time. Upset, bummed, you name it. I was expecting the 2 feet of additional wingspan to help get this in the air, but you need real wind. The kind of wind that that makes your cloths flap in the wind, blows off your hat, pushes you when you walk, or even picks up/blows around the kite as you run back to your lines. Not the kind of wind that "moves" the leaves, if branches are not falling down, dust in your eye you will not have a fun time with this kite. Meaning if you live in an area that experiences high speed winds only a few times a year, please look elsewhere, as it may not be worth your money, if you live in a state where you are literally sick/tired of the wind you will have a blast. I can not stress this enough Now when the wind did kick in the, the speed, maneuverability, control was all top notch as expected from a kite of this caliber. You will dive, loop, and power through the sky as the kite screams across the sky. For the cumulative 15 minutes (of my hour long visit) it was quite fun. Again, have wind lots of it (12-15 mph) CONSISTENT!, figure how many days a year you have these speeds and then factor in if it will be a worthy investment.

SUPER FUN!
This kite is sooo much fun. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a stunt kite fo quite a while. The wind almost never stops blowing where I live so I figured there couldn't be a better reason to buy one. This kite was easy to assemble (using provided instructions). I chose to separate the strings indoors, and wrapped them on supplied string-keeper one at a time. I was glad I did this, as doing so in the wind would've been difficult. After I got It outside I was up and flying in about 5 minutes. The kite is extremely responsive and quite fast. You wouldnt want to give it to someone who weighs less than 100 lbs in max recommended winds. Unless they want to go for a ride. I weigh 190 and this kite pulled me around enough that I couldn't keep my feet in one spot without moving. And I was in less than 15mph gusts. I highly recommend reading the instructions before attempting to fly this kite. There are many valuable tips, pointers and adjustments that will save you the frustration once you get it in the wind. The only small negative to this kite, is flying it alone. It is much easier if you have someone to hold the kite as you try to launch it. Or if you crash, someone to re-launch. While it can be done alone in most cases, if you try and fly in 20+ mph wind, the chances the kite will not get blown away while you try to make it down to the hand straps is small. The only small issue I had with it so far is that one of the strings was about 4 inches longer than the other out of the package. Due to this I initially had problems keeping it in the air because the kite wanted to turn severely to the direction of the shortened string. As I said the kite is very responsive. One short string will cause big issues if you don't catch it. This kite is SO woth the money otherwise. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing piece of engineering!
First of all I have to start off by saying that the build quality of this kite is just amazing. A lot of attention has been paid to intricate details, that's for sure. Being a beginner in this stunt kite business, I found it a bit hard to fly at low winds (even using the light wind line setup), probably due to the weight of the kite. Although I do not doubt the fact that an experienced flyer will have no problem flying this kite at 3MPH winds as advertised. Once the wind kicks in, it becomes one hell of an exciting kite, generating a lot of pull while still staying controllably slow enough for a beginner like myself. Keeping in mind that I am using the "forgiving" line set up, I am pretty sure that this kite is completely trickable in its "radical" setup. This kite is built pretty solidly too & will take a lot of abuse with no damage as I have experienced first hand after a few hard crashes on my first couple of flights. I know that it is a bit more expensive than most beginner stunt kites out there but after a lot of research & personal experience, I can say that it is worth every penny.

I couldn't be happier - LOVE everything about the Prism Quantum
I love the Prism Quantum, it's my favorite. Although I like all of the colors they offer, I decided to go for the red-yellow (fire) one. This color is perfect because it really looks amazing in combination with a blue sky. While I was first very skeptical about the size (I'm not the tallest woman), I can now say that it is not too big and doesn't pull too much in medium winds. However, if you fly the Quantum in heavy winds, you might have to lean back a lot - which is fun, too. I really like that you can adjust the kite for lower and higher winds and that it comes in a nice bag. It is also very easy to assemble and you are ready to fly in just a few minutes. Overall, the people of Prism really thought their product through - I couldn't be happier! When I fly at the beach people will stop and just look at the kite for minutes. Together with the black and white Prism tale, it really looks beautiful and makes even more fun!

First day out!!
Before I bought his kite I had only ever flown one stunt kite before and I thought it was ok, however after 20 minutes of flying this thing in 8-15 mph wind I was completely amazed. I'm a complete amature and with in the first hour on the beach I had a crowd of people watching me do multiple hoops and loops. I'm thoroughly amazed at how responsive the quantum is. One guy asked "dam does that thing have a motor attached to it!" I said "nope, just strings" and he was in aw. I weight 155 on a good day and this kite was dragging my feet forward on a strong gust. I did one to many hoops once and crashed it head first into a bush. (I almost cried) however when I went to accessitate the damage there was not so much as a scratch or tear on the kite. This thing can take a beating. If your like me and get bored easy on the beach, you got to get his thing. It's a short learning curve and you will draw a lot of attention and have a blast. Best $100 I ever spent. I will be buying the prism 4D for lighter wind next week and a skywitter 100 foot tail for the quantum.

Fantastic fun!
If you’re looking for a solid two-line kite that’s portable, durable and easy to fly, this is an excellent choice! I started out flying a smaller 4ft 2-line kite, but this 7ft one is much easier to get airborne and is a very responsive flyer. The wing construction is high-end and will withstand hard crash landings when you’re just starting out, and the dyneema lines are very durable and resistant to knotting. The whole thing packs up nicely in the high-quality durable fabric carrying case, and you can really tell that Prism doesn’t cut corners with their designs. This is my 3rd Prism kite, and the craftsmanship is outstanding as always. It will last a lifetime if you’re careful with it. When the wind picks up this definitely has a strong pull, so make sure to dig your stance in a bit, and keep your arms low when it gets gusty. If you haven’t flown a framed sport kite before, be prepared for a bit of a learning curve getting used to the response speed. Use small corrections and remember- less is more! And the loud “BRRRRRP!” noise that happens when you make fast maneuvers is normal, and so much fun. Perfect for beginners and experienced flyers alike, this is guaranteed to put a huge grin on your face, and will almost certainly draw a crowd. P.S. the single one-star review in French is from someone who was annoyed they couldn’t get the kite to fly, despite acknowledging the quality of the construction. Please disregard it - this kite flies like a dream when you get used to it, you really can’t go wrong with the Quantum. Happy flying!

Great kite
Great kite easy to assemble and fly and pack up again. Everything seems durable and high quality. Wind requirements in the description are silly you’ll need +10-15km/h winds for any stunt kite to stay airborne including this one

Wonderful stunt kite
This kite is wonderful and fun to fly! Built strong, we’re enjoying to make it fly and turn around. It takes a good wind to enjoy the most!
