A Coffee Grinder That'll Make You Want to Buy An Electric Coffee Grinder (and some Ben-Gay for your sore arm).
Before I get started, let me say that this product does exactly what it intended to do - it grinds coffee beans. It's pretty well made, looks nice on the counter and I have no doubts that it will last a very long time. So why only three stars? I'll break it down bullet point style so I don't take up more of your time than necessary:1. It takes a long, long, long time to grind the coffee. I don't really know why I purchased this. Perhaps I was having a moment of artisanal ignorance. Who wouldn't want to grind their own coffee by hand? The answer is this guy. I had no idea that it would add about 15 minutes to my morning routine. That's about how long it takes to grind enough beans for a pot full (about 10 cups) of coffee. If you've got nothing better to do, this is for you.2. Watch your knuckles, seriously. If you hold it too high up you'll bash your knuckles with the rotating handle (which has pretty sharp edges) and if you aren't careful, as you rotate the handle you can clip the top of your finger on the return. A bit of a design flaw if you ask me.3. Did I mention that it takes a ridiculous amount of time to grind any appreciable amount of coffee with this thing? If this is your only means of coffee grinding you'll either end up with some kind of repetitive motion syndrome or you'll wind up with forearms like Popeye. I can't really think of any other reasons you'd want it.4. It helped me to re-appreciate electricity. If you're one of those people that really has more time than they know what to do with, I highly suggest purchasing this medieval torture device. Or maybe you're a physical therapist looking for a new way to rehabilitate tennis elbow patients. Just stay away from it if you drink as much coffee as a normal coffee drinker. Or ,maybe break it out on those special occasions when you want to annoy your friends. I can just picture it now, "Hey guys, you want some coffee with your dessert? Yeah? Great. I'll see you an a half an hour."

Good product
I had my doubts on this purchase, but after the first initial uses, I am really glad I went with a manual grinder. The design is compact, sturdy, and user friendly. It has a good stainless steel finish on it. The measuring spoon/bag clip is an added bonus.

Does a Good Job but it's a workout
This coffee grinder does a good job but it is a bit of a workout to use, especially for older people. The young and strong are better candidates.

Solid, Reliable, Easy-to-use
Purchased 4 years ago. This is the second hand-crank coffee grinder I've owned, and by far, it's the best. Feels good in your hand, solid construction. Takes a lot of cranking but it makes burr-ground coffee (uniform coffee particle size).

Underwhelming and don't expect it to stick around long.
Worked great for a few months until the plastic piece inside the grinder holding the ceramic in place broke. Most people who reviewed this seem to have received theirs for free so that should be an indication of quality (or lack thereof). There are about a hundred different commodity vendors selling this same type on Amazon so if you feel like buying a new one every few months for 15-20 bucks then maybe this will suit your needs. As for me I'm going to buy a better model instead.

Impracticable Item
Tried it for a few cups and very slow process! Takes forever to grind enough beans to brew even one cup of coffee!! Very disappointed.Definitely would not recommend this product.Earnest Najorka
