Review: The hype is real. I ordered two at the same time and they both were flawless! - I bought 2 of these GW-2 guitars at the same time. One for me and one as a gift. They arrived very well packed and in perfect condition. THE HYPE IS REAL!!! Both of them were flawless. The quality control was off the charts. Everything as it should be. The frets are incredibly done. The fretboard is immaculate. Better than all my expensive guitars. Honestly, I'm more than impressed. The pickups are really good, but think old Gibson PAF, not metal or "hot". A low output humbucker,not something more modern like the look would suggest. But I love this. With distortion, it can do most anything. And the routes are nice. Its an amazing mod platform if thats your thing. Its all there with the body. The neck is fantastic. I can't stop playing it. Both guitars arrived on the same day 4 days after ordering and they were practically in tune and ready to go. If you are on the fence, do it. The return policy is great, nothing to lose. I kinda thought it was a novelty guitar but it's not. Its a real player. Feels great. Sounds great. No brainer. This is the most comfortable guitar in any position believe it or not and a joy to play just lounging on the couch.
Review: Absolutely amazing quality and sound - I bought this on a whim. I have Suhr, Gibson, PRS, etc guitars so I really don't need any more instruments. I just enjoy working on guitar related stuff so I'll occasionally buy a "project" to mess around with crowning / leveling frets or electronics. I ordered this figuring that I would need to really put some time and effort into this to make it playable. Plus I don't have a headless guitar so there's that. But so far this guitar needs nothing. Seriously. I'm sincerely impressed with this instrument! Construction: The wood is nicely finished and smooth. The clear coating is well done and the grain of the wood is actually attractive. All of the joints are tight, the controls are smooth, the pickup switch is nicely detented, and all of the screws are firmly fastened. At this price occasionally that's not the norm at all. Fretwork: The fretwork isn't PERFECT . . . but it's WAY better than what you'd get on a $500 Squier. It call it easily the match or better than a production Ibanez though. Pickups and electronics: The pickups are Eart's house brand (I guess) but I don't think that I'll be replacing them. They sound great - a nice chimey neck pickup and a mid-focused but shimmery bridge tone. The middle position sounds great as well. They aren't Seymour Duncans or Suhr pickups but they sound as good as the pickups in my PRS SEs. Amazing value and tone for the price! The electronics are very well soldered - heck they even use full size pots! Setup and hardware: The hardware is decent. The headstock end of the string holders is sleek and simple - the bridge is the only slight con of this guitar for me. The bridge holds tune well but the tuners are stiff and very temperamental - it takes very little turning to over/under tune the note you were aiming for. You just have to be very careful as you turn them. The setup and action out of the box were pretty much spot on - I might lower it a bit after it acclimatizes to my home but frankly I'm amazed. The setup is FAR better than the out of the box setup on any guitar that I've bought for less than $1000. Who ever worked on this one was a great setup person considering that it came all of the way from China and *still* had decent action and prefect intonation. I don't usually write reviews but this guitar and the attention to detail that went into it deserve it. Absolutely amazing quality for the money - I will be buying more of these for other experiments. I'd love to have one with P90s! Folks at Eart - you need to develop a fanned fret seven string version as well. If you do please let me know - I'd love to help you with product testing on that. You all know how to build a guitar!

**Q: What size bag would I need? Does the headstock just remove 6 inches from normal guitar?**
A: Pretty much. The cut out for the tuners also brings the overall size down compared to a Strat-style full guitar. I custom made a gig back that’s 13 1/2” wide and 35 1/2” long tapered down to 7” at the headstock. Works perfect. It’s basically the same size as my Ibanez and Strandberg.

I bought 2 of these GW-2 guitars at the same time. One for me and one as a gift. They arrived very well packed and in perfect condition. THE HYPE IS REAL!!! Both of them were flawless. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The pros vastly outweigh the cons

I'm in love. No tuners to beat up and knock out of tune. No headstock to crack. Tuning stability for days. Excellent neck, in both feel and workmanship. Frets are done properly, no sharp edges, roll off is comfortable, tang is barely visible if at all. However, the frets are very short. The width is ok, but they really need to be taller, especially as this type of guitar is aimed at a more modern player. It's the only thing on this guitar that I would say needs to be addressed. And, I'd pay more for it. Fit and finish were wonderful. Pot control in particular is fantastic for an under $500 guitar. Burl finish has some open pores, but that's to be expected. Very comfortable to play, and as I bought this for using on the test bench when building amps, I will be playing sitting and this guitar is built for the sitting player. I can't comment on the pickups, as I had already planned on swapping them for some custom wound P90s ( I build amps primarily for single coil players) and I have very little time playing humbuckers with which to give them a proper comparison. The tuning knobs are knurled and a little rough and tough to turn, so you will be using the provided key, but they hold tuning extremely well (fixed bridge) so that shouldn't be a major concern. My pickup blade selector had a bad solder joint on the bridge pickup, so I didn't have that working at first, but was an easy touch up for me but everyone may not be able to fix it, so that's a little detraction. Also there was a little bit of wood dust in the cavity from routing I would imagine that should have been blown out. I put shielding tape in the cavity, so I would've removed it anyway. The cavity cover is very tight in the route, so much so that it doesn't even need screws, so a small cutout would help ease the removal of the cavity. These negatives are very small, and really picky anyway and honestly not something valid on a guitar of this price coming off of a factory build. It's why the guitar isn't $800, and I can deal with the small issues for the $500 discount. Perfect guitar, no. But perfect $300 guitar, maybe! It has changed my mind completely about what I value in a guitar, and I don't think I will ever go back to the standard again. I will always want some of the aspects this guitar brings to the table in all of my future guitars. I have a feeling my headless collection has just begun.
