E4 TPR Series-Julienne Peeler-Vegetable Slicer with Exclusive Snap on Cover

I'm sorry to say but the Julienne Peeler-Vegetable Slicer with Exclusive Snap on Cover Dual Stainless Steel Heads and Super Soft Ergonomic Grip Sold by E4 TPR Series makes Julienne trips way too fine for both peppers and zucchinis and I'm wondering if I would have been better off buying one of the a Julienne Peeler-Vegetable Slicers with the stainless handle if they might Julienne larger more usable julienne strips. Maybe this one works on cucumbers only or something.I chose E4 TPR Series brand of Julienne Peeler over the larger stainless steel versions of these Julienne Peelers for it's none slip smaller handle to be less bulky to be easier to store in a draw but you would still need a draw bigger than what we have. We chose it over all of the ZOODLE SLICERs and Vegetable Spiralizer, Spiral Slicers which reviews have exposed as troublesome trinketsWe were hoping that the E4 TPR Series brand of Julienne Peeler would be a quicker and easier to wash alternative to washing all the parts of the mandoline but it turned out that the Swissmar Borner V-1001 V-Slicer Plus Mandoline that we luckily bought in the same order saved our dinner from being a mushy disaster.The results of the E4 TPR Series brand Julienne Peeler was poor on red peppers because it Juliennes way too fine turning the pepper into mush and unfortunately also poor on zucchinis because it make much too fine a zoodle which cooks into a sloppy mush immediatly. Maybe the peeler blade is good for peeling but that is not what I bought it for. I recommend buying a Swissmar Borner V-1001 V-Slicer Plus Mandoline and a Kevlar glove and stay away from all the Julienne Peelers and all the ZOODLE SLICERs and Vegetable Spiralizer, Spiral Slicers.After using it for just pealing, it is very sharp and a good grip but the size of the Julienne needs to be wider/coarser.I upgraded it from 2 star to 3 star. The supplier is also very helpful.

Helpful product. I was only looking for a good quality peeler, so I ordered this, due to the price and the large soft rubber handle. Due to the size, it takes some getting used to for straight peeling, due to the sharpness of the blades. However, this tool is so much more. It has julienne slicing capability and it's really amazing. Interesting to note, 10 minutes after this product was delivered, I received an email from the manufacturer rep, saying they would be contacting me for feedback after I had used it and also she attached a recipe book for all kinds of julienne vegetable recipes. I am impressed.

I bought this item to use as a peeler and to julienne veggies. One great feature is it comes with a cover to protect you from the blades. However, this feature is not enough for me to recommend the product. The blades are very light weight and while it works, it does not peel as easily as my other peelers. The julienne function frequently gets clogged, and does is not able to julienne an entire carrot leading to lots of wasted veggies. The handle itself is comfortable and seems well constructed, the blades are in my opinion on the cheap side.

Friendly company, who kindly followed up on my purchase. I hadn't used it yet when they contacted me, but in the meantime I have, and I don't care for this style after all. The quality may be okay, but for me using a wide peeler and using a knife to julienne veggies seems a whole lot easier to manage and get task done.If you do want to buy a peeler like this, I would definitely choose one with a safety cap as this one has as the blades are so sharp!

I was able to finally use my Julienne Peeler last night! I absolutely loved it. The Julienne side of the peeler is very easy to use and takes no effor to slice the vegetable! I also used the Vegetable Slicer side last night, and it worked really well too. The two sides take so little effort to peel your vegetables. I made zucchini and carrot "pasta" with shrimp, onions, and peppers for dinner! The prep time with the peeler was so minuet compared to my old way of making the "pasta."The only thing that i found difficult was cleaning the Julienne side of the peeler, however my recommendation is using a new toothbrush to get the debris out of the small cracks. The toothbrush worked so incredibly well and it is completely clean. I'm now just leaving the toothbrush in my kitchen.

It's not easy to use when making zucchini noodles. Teeth got clogged to the point I had to stop and clean with a tooth brush several times just on one long zucchini. Also couldn't use whole thing as I had no way to hold vegetable when I got to within a half inch. It won't get wasted because I'll chop it for something else but a little disappointed.

First thing that I like about this product is the handle. Not more slipping when you are trying to finely peel a vegetable. You can peel with water running and it will never slip out of your hand.Second is the price. I am a Prime user and this was a no brainer for a kitchen accessory. It was exactly what I was looking for and the owner sent me a huge document with recipes to use with the peeler.Third thing that I liked were the sharp blades. WOW are they sharp. It comes with a protective cap so make sure to save that and always put it on after usage.

I was disappointed in trying to use this peeler/slicer because the item swiveled too much and I couldn't get the right rhythm. You have to be careful with this thing so you don't cut yourself. I do like the fact that a good clip-on cover is included so that you can safely store it. However, this was an annoying product for me to try to use and I much prefer a more stable slicer or peeler. You're better off having two utensils rather than this combination which flip-flops on you.
