Benjamin Jacob for Men Premium Pre-Shave Oil 2 oz

works as advertised, but nothing special.

I received "Benjamin Jacob" premium pre-shave oil for free in exchange for an honest review. My intentions were to order this oil for my husband but upon its arrival and reading the ingredients I found that they were all natural oils and consisted of those that I use for my hair oil & moisture treatments! The oil contains a combination of (4) four natural oils; jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, and grapeseed oil. Purchased separately the oils are expensive and all are known for softening, moisturizing, and sealing in moisture for hair and hair follicles. After I shampooing my hair I conditioned and used Benjamin Jacob's oil as a sealer. I was pleased with the results and very happy to have found an oil mixture set at such a reasonable price!! I have no doubt that my husband will be pleased as well but he will have to wait for the second bottle!! I recommend this item for men and women alike.

I found it to be too thick

I don't have a problem with the oil itself. But the label crumbles and gets on your hands and then you have black flecks all over your face when you put the oil on your face.

Bought it as a gift for my brother. Nice, premium looking packaging. I'll update when he tries it.

I highly recommend this product for any wet shaver. It provides a nice, slick, base for your lather and helps to prevent razor burn and hair pulling. I have pretty sensitive skin and this stuff really helps out my DE razor blade glide over my neck area without irritated my skin. It's fragrance free so it won't butt-in on your shave soap or aftershave lotion, which is a plus!

I was using the Art of Shaving preshave oil and was looking for a cheaper option. This oil does a far better job in my opinion and makes shaving with a straight edge or safety razor far smoother. The difference is night and day for me. Great product.

I did not give the Benjamin Jacob Pre-Shave Oil away, I kept it! I needed something for myself as I have extremely pale legs and a couple things happen right after I shave them, first off now matter the type of blade/cream combination I use my hair seems to prickle back right after and then on top of that I get tiny red bumps all up and down them. I got this product hoping that maybe a pre-shave oil will cut down on these issues and it worked! I poured a little bit of the oil onto my skin and then I put the soap I generally use on top of that and began to shave. My skin did not feel irritated after and there were limited little red bumps on my skin. My legs also did not feel like I missed patches or little hairs anywhere. I really enjoyed the pre-shave oil and I would highly recommend this product for both men and women. My husband used a little before he shaved and he stated that his skin has never felt so smooth it was a treat for him.It may be difficult to see, but I provided a picture of one leg with the use of the oil and one leg without so you can see one has irritation and one does not. I received this product for free for my honest and unbiased review.
