UPDATED REVIEW: Love at first use...and then not so much
Well, this was a winner for the first few uses--literally, about four uses. I have thick, curly hair. I usually air dry or I put in a pony or bun for work. I seldom ever "do" my hair since it's a whole thing and process, but I bought this dryer since it ticked several boxes for me on the "Dyson dupe" front: 1. magnetic attachments included; 2. travel friendly; 3. lightweight 4. promised to dry quickly without damage. For the money, I figured I couldn't lose, right? For the few times I was able to use it, it was fantastic! It delivered on all fronts--I needed it for a wedding, hence it being travel-friendly and it was just what I'd hoped it would be. My curls were totally frizz-free and the diffuser was the best one I've ever used. So I used it for a long weekend and was thrilled. Didn't need it for a few months and used it again--worked like a champion. Fast forward to about the fourth use, and ONE strand of hair got into the motor/back of the unit, and now it sort of whirs at half speed. I attempted to remove the cap (since most dryers allow this to clean the dust and any hair from the mesh cap) only to find that sucker is on there for good. No way is it removable. So I got about four to six uses out of mine and that's about it. It technically still works, but it's not working the way it did when I first got it. If they fix this design flaw and allowed you to either remove the cap for cleaning and/or when and if hair gets caught, it's be a winner. Or, if they fixed it so that hair cannot be caught at all--that would also rectify the problem. Too bad because it's overall a solid unit saving these problems and the attachments that Dyson doesn't include with the base unit come with it, and they are really, really nice. Return window obviously closed because I used it so infrequently. I realize this is under fifty bucks and the Dyson clocks in at 400, but still...the last dryer I bought was a CVS special for 15 and it lasted me 15 years, lol. Maybe I got a lemon :( UPDATE as of March 3, 2023: The seller noticed my review and reached outโthey were extremely apologetic and asked to send a new dryer to meโno further questions and did not ask for the defective unit to be returned. Within days, the new one has arrived! I havenโt used it yet (as I stated in my review, I donโt do my hair every day), but I did plug it in and it does work as the original one did on the my day! I am excited to see if this one lasts longer since I was so thrilled with my results before. I can say I have never experienced such exceptional customer service before, and that includes when I have been the one to email for help. Mandy, the associate, was great. Iโm very impressed, and I feel for service alone five stars is warranted!

Love this dryer!
This was a great dryer until it wasn't. Good points are that it dried my hair quickly, I loved that the attachments hook on by magnets which allow you to position them to the position that is comfortable for you and it is lightweight. I bought it in late November, 2021 and it was used approximately every other day (so approx. 30 - 40 times). Today I was using it and it just stopped working. I turned it to the off position and turned it back on. It did come on but stopped working again. I stopped using it, afraid that something worse would happen. The return window closed on January 31, so I will not be able to return it. Very sad and a waste of money. 3/09/22 - Mandy, from Slopehill customer service, contacted me immediately after reading my 1 star review. I was told that my problem described in my original review was a rare occurrence and that they would send me a new unit. A brand new unit arrived in under 5 days. The dryer is working perfectly. It is lightweight, powerful and I love that the attachments hook on by magnet allowing for easy adjustment. The customer service for this company is spot on. They truly care about their customer. Try this dryer, you'll love it!

Loved it until it decided to get hot and won't shut off now have to unplug it
Great dryer I like that it's not noisy and it's size fits perfect in hand so makes it easy to handle. Unfortunately there is something wrong with button my dryer won't shut off. I was drying my hair then suddenly it started getting really hot and I tried shutting it off and the button was just moving freely I had to unplug for it to shut off...when I tried plugging in and Turing on it was on as soon as I plug it in. I don't think it's safe to use.

Dries hair super fast
I wasn't sure about this blow dryer at first. When I first used it, the kept attachment falling off but then I realized it just didn't put it on correctly. I never used a blow dryer with magnetic attachments and I read in the reviews that the attachments fall off. Well once I put them on correctly, I never had an issue again. I am not sure what I did wrong at first, but the attachments are very sturdy on the blow dryer. I love that the handle folds so it's nice and compact. I really enjoy using the low heat setting because it's pretty quiet in comparison to other blow dryers I've had. I can listen to YouTube while blow drying my hair without having to connect to a BT speaker! Lol This blow dryer also dries my hair in half the time compared to ny previous Revlon blow dryer. I have fine and straight hair.

Didn't last more than a month before it stopped working
I ordered this hair dryer about a month and a half ago and absolutely loved it at first! My hair felt and looked healthier, I was left with less frizz, dry time was so much shorter than with my last hair dryer, it's pretty quiet, and it's so lighweight and easy to store. I was so happy with my purchase and was glad to have finally found a replacement for old bulky hair dryer that left my hair so poofy. That is, until it randomly died on me and now I am left with no working hair dryer. I only use it about 2-3 times a week, so I'd maybe gotten 10 uses out of it before it just suddenly stopped working. Nothing got caught in it to my knowledge, and it shouldn't have overheated because I had it turned on for about 2 minutes before it just stopped. I tried unplugging it, resetting the outlet, trying a different outlet...nothing worked. Tried it again a few days later and it turned on at first, but then stopped again after less than a minute. I was so dissappointed because I really liked this hair dryer a lot from the times I used it before! I'm a bit frustrated that I only got less than 2 months of use from it before it stopped working. UPDATE: I emailed Slopehill customer support and they were extremely helpful (and quick) in addressing my issue. They sent me a replacement dryer in less than a week after I had finally gotten into contact with them, which was great! Unfortunately, that dryer died only a week after owning it. I believe they are somehow overheating, which is strange considering I only use it for a max of 10 mins at a time and I have never run into that issuse with any other blow dryer before. I finally ended up asking for a refund since I now have 2 faulty blow dryers, which they processed very quickly and made that extremely easy for me. Their customer service is phenomenal-- however I cannot say I reccomend their product at all:(

UPDATED? Loved this hair dryer, but less than a year later it overheats
UPDATE: After checking my messages on amazon, I noticed a message from the company that I received when I purchased this back in February. In the message it states that there is a thermostat that will turn the hair dryer off to avoid overheating. I am not sure if this is what I have experienced, but I would love to know that preset temp because my dryer gets VERY HOT. To clarify, the blow dryer does not turn off while it is running to prevent overheating. It instead gets very hot and when I turn it off manually, it does not turn back on until I have unplugged it and let it sit for about ten minutes. I bought this in February of 2023 and I love the IDEA of this hairdryer. The design is great. The attachments are great. Its light and works amazing, but it started to overheat and short out a couple of months ago. Since I didn't want to shell out the cash for another one I just kept using it, but I fear if I continue I will run into some problems. I typically do a rough blow dry and then do a blowout in sections. It doesn't take me much time to do a blowout so I know the hairdryer isn't running for too long. I typically turn it off in between sections to avoid having it running while I am not using it, but by the time I get to the top section of my hair it no longer turns on. The barrel of the blow dryer but the tip gets way too hot and it causes it to overheat. I am disappointed because I really enjoyed this hairdryer as it is easy to travel with and it works very well, but it gets too hot and I am scared of causing a fire and at the very least frying my hair.

Lightweight powerful hairdryer
Hello, I recently purchased this to replace my old hairdryer. The price was great, but I had questions... I wasn't sure at first, but after reading ALL the reviews I decided it was worth a try. There are 2 heat settings and a cool setting, the buttons are easy to access, and I like the cool shot feature. It's very light and really easy to hold. I had no trouble using it. If you have arthritis or difficulty holding a heavy dryer this dryer might be your new one! I like the folding handle on this, it's so compact when folded that you can put it in a drawer. It also has a hanging loop. It would fit easily into a suitcase or carry-on for a weekend. It's really quiet, has 1800 watts of power, and I quickly dried my fine, chin length hair. I like it very much, I'm hoping to have this dryer a long time. From reading the reviews, the customer service is outstanding. If a problem arises I'm confident it will be addressed quickly. And there is a one year warranty, even better! If you're not sure either, give it a try! Oops! almost forgot, it has 3 attachments! A diffuser, concentrator and smoothing nozzle! Go get it!

***UPDATED REVIEW***
I received an immediate email response to my initial review from a representative of the Slopehill After Sales Customer Service Department. The representative was very apologetic about my experience with the hair dryer. She said improvements had been made since the time of my purchase and asked if I would allow them to send the improved model as a replacement at no charge. (Amazing, right?!) I received it as promised and it works beautifully!! The new one is a little more quiet and dries my hair just as quickly as the first one I bought, however, the most notable (and noticable) improvement in the replacement model is that my hair is left smoother and shinier than before! I'm really loving this one and I recommend it highly for any type of hair, especially for anyone with dry or damaged hair! Honestly, I'm personally very impressed and refreshed by this, seemingly small, outward and visible gesture as it reflects the existence of honesty and integrity, qualities that are not always visible in today's retail companies. EARLIER REVIEW: I purchased it in October 2022 and it was the hands-down best hair dryer I've ever owned. I'm 50+ with naturally silver hair that requires plenty of moisture. A Dyson would be the best choice in dryers but they're pricy. I decided to give this one a try and believe me, it was really the best ever. Early last month it began overheating once in a while, which quickly became 2 to 3 times with each use. Late last month the diffuser began falling off which now doesn't stay on at all. I thought I'd finally found THE perfect hair dryer but I just tossed it because I'm afraid to use it. Really too bad because I think the makers were in to something great but in the end... not so much.

Stopped working all together after 2 months.
Worked great for first 2 months and then it wouldnโt turn on anymore. Complete waste of money. Quality is subpar.
