La Quercia, Nduja, 5 Ounce

This is a product I've seen in food magazines, but never eaten, so I thought I'd try it. Just not crazy about it although I'm certain it's high quality. Personal taste.

This is one small tube about 4 inches long currently priced at $33.99 by this seller. You can find this for less than half that price on other online outlets. I bought this here because in the Q@A people said it was 3 tubes as pictured. Not true and it is not returnable. To make things worse, it came with warm with the cold pack completely melted. I doubt it is useable because the label says to keep refrigerated.

I had never tried this but read about it in a receipe in the wonderful book, Red Sparrow. Made a spagetti pie with it and it was spectacular.

I know this is trendy, but also horrible. Stick with actual prosciutto.

I like this product as a part of an appetizer plate.or cheese board. It is not a substitute for traditional prosciutto; it is a totally different product, although one also made from pork. So, if you want true sliced prosciutto, buy that product; this product is a spread, and, yes, it's mighty tasty -- if you like meat spreads. "Prosciutto spread" is a marketing term pure and simple and, yes, I took the bait. Nevertheless, try Nduja. ... I did.
