The piece of wood itself is nice, but they didn't allow for a very long machining process so the cuts look staggered/ridged and detract from the aesthetic beauty of things (which is really the only reason to be buying a wood hangboard instead of a regular one). The board is too shallow to really accommodate either the pull up handles or the side pinches, so you'd have to do a lot of crafty cutting on the extra plywood backing board to make either useful. Cutting the board short enough widthwise will make the edge holds stick off like dumbo ears (again aesthetics), and prevents you from working this into a more comprehensive system board with holds, rings, rungs etc. You'll also have to cut out the board behind the pull-up handles to make them serviceable. Also will only end up being useful for palm-out pull-ups (preferred for climbing training), but they are too closely spaced for proper physiological alignment. Given that you have to reconfigure the backing board so much, mounting with only two bolts and t-nuts seems a bit less than sound.
