Taylor Pro Programmable Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer with Probe and Timer

This is my second unit from this OEM. The meter is good for toaster ovens, but the cord is too short to use with a full size oven. The magnet does not hold the unit to a metal surface without sliding down.Pros:1. Temperature Presets2. The ability to set a temp3. Clear readoutCons:1. Short cord2. This works very well. It would be better if you could set a descending alarm, like when waiting for something to cool down.The probe is more sensitive than the analog cheap meat thermometers and had better accuracy.I think they should have potted (epoxy or food grade sealant) where the wire exits the metal housing for the temperature probe, to remove doubts of water entering this area when cleaning.I haven't had the sensitivity issues others have mentioned, but have only used this until now maybe 20 times for 30 minutes each.

Works as advertised & like that its small. Ive used it a couple times now and leaving the temp probe in until the beeper goes off is handy. Has led to a great turkey and beef roast.

Petty good.

I use a couple of these to help in smoking brisket, or measuring oven temp. Work very well and temp. agrees with other thermometer that I used to verify accuracy.

April 2016, Taylor Pro Programmable Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer with probe and timer $8.99 delivered March 4, 2016. This thermometer worked 3 times over a 6 week period then started reading 60 degrees over temperature - reads 136 degrees F a 79 degrees F (room temp) and not returnable (over 30 days). A ruined $35 roast over a $9 thermometer.

Worked fine for purpose I was using it to do. Not sure how accurate it is however, no way for me to determine.
