Best picks I have found
I have been playing guitar for about 18 years, and have played with every type of pick imaginable. I started out playing with smaller picks, but got hooked on using the bigger triangle-shaped picks about 11 years ago. I tried all the Fender picks and various other types, but was never truly satisfied. Once I discovered the Clayton line of picks, it was over.I started with the 1 mm picks and they were too stiff. I used the .80s for a long time, but once I went to a Telecaster from a hollow-body, the .80s were more stiff than I wanted. The .63s are perfect and probably what I will use from here on out.First off, the tone and feel are perfect. I play rhythm guitar and these picks are great for any tempo or dynamic. The grip is also perfect, even when your hands get sweaty. I also love that they are white so they are easy to spot on top of my amp or on the off chance I drop one.Of course, picks are a personal choice and I recommend experimenting and being open to trying all types until you find what works best for you. There is no right pick for everybody and all styles. However, I highly recommend giving these a try. I have also tried the .50s and they are a little lighter than I like, but if you like thinner picks these may be more your style. They are also great for playing bass if you use picks.

A tasty combination of stiffness for flatpicking, blues and jazz along with a warm tone
-I like these (1 mm) for acoustic guitar music requiring robust articulation and warm tone. They dampen a strike just enough to make articulation manageable and sweet but not so much that clear tone is muffled. Maybe a little betterfor lead playing and careful rhythm work then a heavier pick. These are stiff enough to play with authority. I wouldn’t mind a little more grip but these are pretty good already.- They complement heavier picks which dampen tone more- like Dunlop Max-Grip 1.5 mm picks. The Dunlops alsoarticulate nicely but are softer than acetal and absorb more tone, a softer response useful in smoky blues and jazz.-Both above are affordable and cover anything I want to do.

I had been using 1.5 mm picks, but needed teardrop picks, for shredding
Years ago I used the Clayton "small teardrop" picks. I couldn't tell from the picture, that these were full size, and I didn't check the size in the description. I still had a few of the small ones, so I used them as templates, to cut these down. I would have rated them 5 Stars, but found Dunlop 423R60 0.60mm (Orange) Tortex Small Tear Drop Guitar Picks, 36-Pack which are a lot cheaper. I'm not knocking the seller in this post edit. I apologize for my previous negative review, written in angst, because I had a gig, and the large Clayton picks weren't what I thought I had ordered. I had purchased 3 packs, and passed them out to other players, and they love them. I still have a pack, and I'm thinking of initialing them, and throwing them out to the crowd like Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick! Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to this seller, future buyers, and the guy that called me out, because my pea brain never edited the negative review that I had posted. I STILL RECOMMEND LOOKING AT THE SPECIFICATIONS, AND GET OUT A RULER, BEFORE BUYING ANY PLECTRUMS. ☮

My favorite Pic! (Over the Orange Turtle)
The media could not be loaded. Are used the Dunlop tortex .60MM orange picks for years. I mostly play rhythm acoustic occasionally electric too. The Dunlops have a nice powder that helps them stay in sweaty hands more easily but my hands are usually to dry so I put little pieces of grip tape on my picks. I wanted to pick that had a little more string attack but not as much as the vortex by Dunlop (a little bright for my taste). These were the perfect amount for me. I also like that they are a little bit thicker .63mm doesn’t seem like much but I can really feel the difference.A wonderful pick!

These are the only pics I buy. I've been using them for over 10 years.
I have been using these Clayton pics for years. They are the only pics I buy. My favorite thing about them is that they never tear or break. I don't know how long they would last but it would be a looooong time! I play guitar professionally and have for years and I've never had one of these pics wear out on me. The only reason I have to replace them every once in a while is because I lose them or loan / give them to other guitar players. Oh and by the way in case you are wondering the only ones I buy are the .50 mm. This number represents the thickness or flexibility of the pic. I have found the .50 mm pics to be the perfect balance between flexibility and rigidity. Of course this will be a matter of preference for guitar players but .50 mm works great for me. I would recommend .50 mm as a good starting place if you are not sure which ones to get.

My choice of picks since the 1980s...hard to find locally
These are great picks-- I prefer the thicker (.80 or .88mm) options. These Claytons hold an edge and work well for playing pinch harmonics or raking. I've been using these since the 80s and while I've strayed often I keep coming back to these when I actually decide to order some new picks vs. just digging old ones out of a drawer somewhere. Give 'em a try!

They are just better
These picks are just better. They sound better on acoustic and electric. They never ever break. They're easier to grip. They are precisely sized. They are just plain old better. No question about it.

Very good picks for beginners.
After trying a lot of different picks, I tried these and as a beginner, it helped me a lot. Still using my first pick from this lot after 6 months. They are really good. Good size. Comfortable to hold. Very thin and forgiving. Really helped me to get the strums even. Highly recommend for beginners. Quite pricy for a pick though. Get them from US if you can. Sellers are marking them up here.

Inzwischen mein Lieblings-Plek
