Purchased this for a trip I was taking to Cancun. My skin burns easily so I didn't take any chances while there. I applied and reapplied this sunscreen about every 2-3 hours. I'm so glad I did. I did not get burned while I was there, which by the way was spent almost entirely in the sun. They say that only biodegradable sunscreen was allowed in Cancun, but absolutely nobody there asked us about the type of sunscreen we were using. I wish I had known that, because otherwise I would've taken my regular sunscreen. But this stuff did the job, so I was happy about that. What I was not happy about was the amount of time it took to rub it into my skin. It goes on white and stays that way until you rub it in and is absorbed. I'm also not happy about the scent. It wasn't bad, but I like a good Cocoa butter scent in my sunscreen/tanning oils. This one had more of a chemical smell. I bought both the 8 and 30. It worked great! It was my first time in the sun this year and we were in Grenada where the sun is much stronger. I did not get burnt anywhere I put the lotion. I mostly used the SPF 30 with coconut smell. It does go on a bit white and you have to rub it in. Use about a 1/3 of what you would use with normal sunscreen lotion and it will go on more smoothly. I used the SPF 8 later in the trip but was not out in the sun as much. This will be my go to lotion from now on. It worked well on my kids, too. No burns for them either. And I didn't worry because I knew it was natural. We did go snorkeling for one day.

I really tried this product out for the first time yesterday. Sunny and clear in high 70's. I spent most of the day working/playing in yard 10AM-5PM in shorts and t-shirt and no sunburn. I re-applied a couple of times as suggested and it worked great. The product went on smoothly without leaving a white film. It's a keeper.

This product is hard to blend into the skin but does a good job of sun protection. We had to use this for an eco park and applied just once and never reapplied for several hours and did not burn, even with being in the water.

Only an SPF 8; very sticky and take a while to go into skin. I put it in small plastic bottle and keep in the car; apply to tops of hands and arms while driving. Will not buy again.

Loved this sunscreen. Other types have broke my skin out but no problems with this. I have an olive complextion and tan really easy but this #8 worked great for spending all day for a whole week on the beach. It does leave a sort of mat /hazey look but not so bad it bothered me. It does take a little more effert to rub in also but we'll worth it.

I didn't feel like this sunscreen was good at all. 1st, it was very thick and difficult to spread on my skin. 2nd, it left a residue that were like material pilling up on my skin. For days after use, these little white pills would be on my skin – even after showering. The bad part was when we got to Mexico, right out front in one of the pharmacy stores was sunscreen from Australian Gold with the word biodegradable very clearly printed on the front of the bottle! It was much cheaper and did a much better job. Now maybe you would have to find it online in the US instead of at the store, but it works a lot better than this brand.

Bought for our trip to Mexico and cenote diving where biodegradable products are required. Not too heavy and served its purpose (no one got burned). Glad I purchased this before our trip as the prices they were selling similar products onsite were ridiculous! If this is a requirement for your diving location - save yourself some money and get it before the trip!
