Product must be very old, because it doesn't harden under nail lamp, or just the top layer will but still soft underneath.

I hate to see bad reviews for a good product. I've been using this product in my salon for years. I generally buy it from a couple of different sellers on ebay. This product is not good for a novice. It is thick, but it's a builder gel...it's supposed to be thick. You can however warm it up and it will get thinner and easier to apply. I use a candle warmer, in the salon and it works great. Also, you can't use this product alone, you need a compatible primer. Look for the cheapest UV (not LED) primer from the same Hong Kong/China sellers. Use a UV lamp, NOT LED or it will NOT cure. Also, if you're only using a 9w lamp, don't expect miracles. Go on ebay and find a 36w UV lamp for 25 bucks and free shipping. For best results cure the primer for 1-2 minutes, white, 1-2 min., and builder gel for 2 minutes. It should hold up great for 2-3 weeks without needing a fill. I used to use a much more expensive product and realized I was throwing money away. Note to non-pros: it is difficult to work with builder gel, especially on yourself!! Some things are better left to professionals.
