Our 20 year old house windows have been experiences wear and tear. My husband pulled one of these Window Blocks and we matched it. Ended up doing 6 problematic windows for less then $100. A great resource! Finding the right "wording" was the most difficult part.

I bought the 26-5 which is exactly how my original balances were stamped. While the dimensions are perfect, my windows now sag about halfway open after replacing both sides. I cannot get the windows to stay fully open, which makes me think the wrong springs were included in my order. This is disappointing after having spent $40 to fix 2 windows.

My window works way better now, but the hook is a cheaper metal and the pieces on the end are the same cheap plastic that will probably break in the same way within a year or two. I wish there was a stronger solution.

Worked perfect. Made sure to look at the number stamped on the broken one I took out of my window so that I ordered the right one. Took all of 5 minutes to put this one in and now my window works smoothly. Did a little research first on how to remove and replace the window balance as it is a little tricky.
